Maybe your AP is waiting for the DFS radar detect to complete. Try setting "skip-dfs-channels" on the AP.

Re: Wireless Bridge with hAP AX3 [SOLVED]

U can use wifi card in old hAP as "station", add IPv4 address to this wifi iface, create EoIP between main router and this hAP, add eoip to bridge on main router and also on the 2nd old Tik. On old hAP, wifi iface cannot be part of bridge. This is how you achieve a fully transparent L2 con...

Re: 7.14 wifi-qcom no superchannel?

Superchannel would be great! Not because of increasing the transmission power (I usually reduce it irl), but because of the use of "illegal" frequencies... of course not all the time, but it's great for testing when looking for a problem.

Re: v7.14.1 [stable] is released!

Any good reasons to increase from 10 to 30 seconds: *) firewall - increased default "udp-timeout" value from 10s to 30s; All deployed devices - v6 and v7 - are configured for 10 seconds. But I'd like to stay consistent with new deployments. What are the thoughts/background about this step...

Re: Wi‑Fi 7 / 802.11be

Snímek obrazovky 2024-03-05 123734.png I was also not satisfied with Wi-Fi on cAP ac and hAP ac2, however, since the migration to wifi-qcom-ac drivers, the throughput and stability of the network have improved many times (even with 25-30 clients on one interface). I have hAP ax2 at home for testing...

Re: Wifi 7 - MikroTik when???

guys... MikroTik is cheap af, what do you want? Yes, TP-Link is maybe a little cheaper, but with trash firmware and WiFi dying after few years...

But yes, I'm also looking forward to Wi-Fi 7. But I would be more pleased with VLANs at wifi-qcom-ac :) i mean real VLAN per client, not setting PVID

Re: v7.15beta [testing] is released!

Yes, that tiny storage is becoming a problem. In the old RB411 I had 64 MB and now in hAP ac2/cAP ac only 16?
I like how the wAP LTE kit (2024) is also only 16MB :D

Re: Which devices for a wireless link between two buildings, <100m range ?

If you manage to install the devices outside, then definitely choose 60 GHz. It's a cheap solution, actually gives 900+ Mbps and it is future-proof.

wifi wave 2 qcom-ac:

Is there any chance you will add dynamic client VLAN assignment again?
It would also be nice to see the EAP identity in the registration table like before.

+1, this is a must-have feature. You can't reasonably manage APs without it. Currently I have to have a static VAP in bridge and set the VLAN ID there...

Try to force 100 Mbps FD in NTB and connect directly to the switch instead of MikroTik. Most likely you will already have 60 Mbps here.

Re: Can't reach site hosted on the same AS

What subnet mask does the router have on the WAN? If, for example, /22 and the ISP blocks client-to-client traffic on L2, it might not reach the destination address at all.

Or aren't these public IPs assignet using via NAT 1:1?

What does traceroute look like from a PC?

Re: Feature Request : IPv6 Fasttrack

+1 for IPv6 Fasttrack.

I've been using dualstack since 2015, but last year I upgraded the uplink to 60 GHz (500/150 Mbps) and the router to RB3011, but the fasttrack would still be very useful.
