Thanks rextended I am only going 1.25 Km had thought of using Cube 60Pro ac but that gives 1 Km then up to 2.4 Km so guessing 60 Ghz fails at 1 km and switches to 5 Ghz for greater range. I have no knowledge on the 60 Ghz ranges. So blind there.

40G direct attach cable

I would like to see a 40G direct attach cable to 4 x 10G SFP+ connectors. That I could plug a 40G fiber into and split it between boxes using SFP+. Eliminating a switch or router to do it. Obviously the 40G splitter would nee power but it would be a cheaper way to split 40G to 4 x 10G.

Best bet is to power netpower 16P with 48v and injecting Poe for 24v and isolating the switch from other DC racks by using fiber to connect between rack mounted equipment and netpower 16P.

40G QSFP+ ports seems an odd route to go. I would have thought that 25 Gbit/s SFP28, 50 Gbit/s QSFP14, 100 Gbit/s QSFP28 leading to 200 Gbit/s QSFP56 the logical route to go. 40Gbit/s seems an odd rate and not common.
