/wifi (wifiwave2) has inferior AP data

/interface/wifi (wifiwave2) commands (and API data returned) are missing important data to evaluate APs that /interface/wireless has. :( Are there plans to add some of this information to /wifi? With /wireless I could just run /wireless/monitor to get signal strength, snr, hertz/channel size, 802.11...

Re: v7.13beta [testing] is released!

A plea for scan data lost with /wifi: (I get the data through REST calls) /interface/wireless/scan includes more data elements than /interface/wifi/scan: *snr (with snr, and mhz which is included, one can calculate max theoretical throughput) *nf (or with noise floor and rssi included, one can calcu...

Re: LTE Link Speed Calculation?

Informative, thank you. Sigh... the data I want is not available at earlier stages (prior to the very slow actual throughput testing in later stages -- speedtest/iperf). But I still need to compare between technologies (wireless, wifiwave2, w60g, lte). I'll go ruminate for a while. Do I commit the f...

LTE Link Speed Calculation?

Anyone know a way to best estimate an LTE physical link speed given Mikrotik LTE command responses? Like the data that comes from wireless/wifiwave2/w60g which can provide the physical link rate? Lacking that, I was going to just use Shannon-Hartley to estimate since I don't know about other data to...

wifiwave2 connect-list

Are there plans to support connect-list in wifiwave2? Or is there an alternate method of accomplishing similar things?

I used it to limit MAC uplinks in wireless previously (have a new AP that only supports wifiwave2).

REST API w/asyncio calling scan and monitor

I'm calling the REST API from Python with asyncio/httpx. RouterOS 7.9 on Mikrotik cube pro and cube lite APs. 1) Scan: on multi-radio APs (e.g. cubepro) I don't realize benefits running scan on two radios asynchronously -- it takes about twice the time to complete with two radios versus one radio. I...

USB Access from Container

Is the USB interface accessible from a container? I have some python scripts communicating to RS485 devices (want to use an RS485 USB dongle), and also considering some USB GPS/magnetometers.

REST API, scan, w60g returns [], v7.7

Not sure what I may be doing wrong. The REST API does not appear to return scan results for wlan60- type interfaces, but the routeros command line does return results. From the command line: [admin@MikroTik] > /interface/w60g scan duration=5 number=*1 Flags: R - ROUTEROS Columns: ADDRESS, SSID, FREQ...

GPS, CubeSA, 7.7

Is the GPS feature working on Cube SA Pro ac running 7.7? I have GPS enabled, but it sees no satellites (let it sit outside for an hour with no change-- date/time increment from 1/6/1980, but that's all).
