Brand new one we just turned up.. Same issues as all 4 before it.. Watchdog reboots..
CG-NAT/firewall/10+gb traffic = reboot..
Sent a supout.. probably get the same answer as everyone else..

Starting to see this issue also on 4011s. 6.44.1 on the last one it happened to.
Power cycle restores all functionality..
SNMP polling becomes very intermittent right before this happens, pointing to the CPU issues..
Only bridge configured on the devices is an empty bridge for loopback.

They are usually for 90 degree risers in their rackmount cases that have 1-2 PCIE slots on them.

No, I have not. We were testing multi-gigabit interfaces, and I was not ready to spend for the CHR license that supports over 1gb, and I might not use.

I ended up running different software on it, and it can really push the traffic.

We are seeing the exact same thing, with the AF24/CCR
but also with some older Trango licensed gear, and the CCR.

It's not exclusive to the AF24, is what I'm trying to say.. The CCR is the common denominator.

5.25 is not that old.

I have IPSEC tunnels on this router, also..
So, when I upgrade to 6.1, and it kills my IPSEC tunnels, that is a fix?

I know this is an old post, but was there ever a working solution to this bug? From a 5.25 router, I can only read about 320 routes from snmp. From a 4.17 router, connected by ethernet to the same router, I can get all 632 routes from snmp. Both show the same routes in winbox under /ip route... Than...

We are replacing these almost 10-20 a week these days.. Texas heat,
bad caps don't mix.. really costs me a lot of money. We just go ahead
and refurb them with all new caps (3-4 or so on the 411 )

Try setting a network range in the addresses for the community.
We had a similar problem with cacti, until I figured out you had to put something in the addresses option.

Most of of the ports on the 2 boards we threw away were plugged into other routers, and routerboards.. RB600's ( gigabit ) , RB1000's, supermicro onboard gigabit, or Cisco 2950 Switches. 100 or 1000 speeds, didn't matter... they drop off anyway.. LOL.. You want to know their official "Answer"... Here it is! Hello, We have some mixed replies from customers, some of them was able to correct issues by upgrading BIOS of the motherboard, some other was not able to correct it at all. So I can only suggest to play around with BIOS version...

No, several of us have had problems.. Ports just drop off, and you have to disable/enable them to make them work. I sent a supout, they created a ticket, and never heard anything.. My boxes are standard intel motherboards, etc.. Never had an issue with anything else, but these.. We yanked them, and ...

I have... I did that before I complained. I have sent supout, hardware config, and you guys sent back "can you put a queue in to see how much traffic is going thru it? " I had to respond "no"... It's a core router... I can't keep enabling/disabling the ports to keep them working....

I have another case of bad RB44GV..

This one has ports that just stop transmitting.. I disable, and enable the port,
and it starts working again for about 12 hours...

The new e1000 doesn't support it ( I've tried 3.14 )

Kernel 2.6.26.5 has it included. is is the igb option.

Hopefully they'll enable it, so I can get an added 2 gig-e's!

AUTH through, so I've been attempting to just block limit overages right now.

What is it written in? I'd be interested in extending it to proxy SMTP AUTH connections,

V2.9.40 on a 532 routing-test enabled

I do want to filter external routes... in-between areas.

I have read about 6 different threads in the forums, and they all go
silent after this determination.

phill, a couple of fixes for the next version,

the fetch.php scripts don't use the rrdtool configuration entry, they are hard coded.

also, you might add a config var for the snmp community.

We are also seeing the same thing. If we disable the wireless card, and then re-enable it, it is good for a couple of days. I am going to try swaping the prism for a cm9, and see what I get. Not a signal issue, this is a small neighborhood with less than 15 clients, and most of them with -66 - -70 s...

We have used a Bridge interface without adding physical interfaces to it.
It seems to work. We have to source-NAT from some specific
ip's on a vendor link we setup a while ago. This seems to work with no issues.
