Re: MPLS/VPLS and rate limiting

I have the following implemented as per your instructions and can see the packet and byte counters incrementing in the bridge filters but the queue statistics show no traffic, is this likely to be a bug do you think? [admin@MikroTik] > /interface vpls print Flags: X - disabled, D - dynamic, R - runn...

Re: MPLS/VPLS and rate limiting

Can you explain more? I have tried simple queue's and queue tree and had no luck with either.

MPLS/VPLS and rate limiting

I have a problem which i hope someone can help me with. My Scenario is very simple, One VPLS circuit setup from point A to B using RB133 and x86 PC both running V3.10. The circuit is working fine with customer traffic but i am unable to rate limit the circuit. I have tried setting up connection / pa...

Re: rate limit mpls vpn

I have a problem which i think is related: One circuit setup using VPLS between a RB133 and an x86 PC both running Mikrotik 3.10. The circuit is working fine with customer traffic but i am unable to rate limit the circuit. I have tried setting up connection / packet marking on the interfaces in the ...

Re: Redundancy with 2 bridge and LACP switchs

I was talking more along the lines of using additional ethernet interfaces on your RB333's so that you can see them, otherwise yes they should be invisible within the bonding of the RB600 interfaces. The problem that we found with this was that arp discovery didn't work properly because an arp reque...

Re: Redundancy with 2 bridge and LACP switchs

The contract job that we did this on was one that involved 3 links all with fully redundant hardware. Most of the sites we could use indoor equipment and relatively short coax runs to the dishes but one site here: http://www.tpnet.co.nz/UserFiles/Image/Services/Climbing/DSC04825.JPG the radios were ...

Re: Redundancy with 2 bridge and LACP switchs

We ended up using two ethernet interfaces per device to solve this, one for the bridge and one for management. Ended up running 800+ metres of outdoor cat5 because of it.

Re: Redundancy with 2 bridge and LACP switchs

Nothing much to say really, perfectly standard Layer 2 lan environment. The success or failure of LACP depends alot on the switch and how it is implemented. How did anyone initially establish that the LACP packets weren't transported by the Linux Bridge in MT anyway? We initially tested this on a be...

Re: Redundancy with 2 bridge and LACP switchs

We recently had the same problem while trying to acheive the same result. Complete failover, higher capacity, efficient frequency useage. We were implementing this using SMC8024L2 switches, 2 x x86 dc powered rackmount MT units on each end using Ubiquiti XR5 cards into Andrew dual polarisation dishe...

PPPoE Client and Webbox

This might be a stupid question but why can the PPPoE client only be configured on ether interfaces and not wlan interfaces through webbox? The concept of using the routerboard 100 series as a client end device is only is only flawed in the aspect that winbox is too complicated for a standard custom...
