Re: WiFi with Apple Products

Just a side note, Ipad Air2 doesn't know what wpa3 is and neither will it connect to a network with FT enabled either.
So I have no choice but to mix!

Can confirm that my devices are now stable for the first time since the ax launch, so thats good news. Ipad Air2
Would be even better if I could fully enable FT on all 4 Radios, I still have to have one Radio with FT Disabled just for the device above.

Use cAP AX as dns forwarder with addlists enabled

Is it possible to use my cAP ax (which is in capsman mode) as the DNS forwarder instead of my hAP ax2 which is the router. The cAP AX has a little more grunt is my thought process and will deal with the addlists as well.

Maybe not because whilst the access point carries out the physical radar check, it could be CAPsMAN that decides what to do with event and which frequency to move to? My reasoning here is that CAPsMAN holds the configuration data on frequency, not the access point? When I talk about radar events, I...

Or does the AP that is controlled by capsman do the check.

Radar checks are always done by device which does Tx/Rx ... which means AP.

Ease of use, less complicated and all the bridging is done for you via the cap in cap mode.

Better keep calm and check your config, yet another time. AX2s are great little devices and i have a working capsman setup running wave2 with roaming and all the flowers. takes some configuration though.
Any chance you can share your output from this please

FT enabled causes half my old stuff ie apple devices not to connect. Wrong password is what it says I believe, even worse it's now enabled with the default config option via netinstall on the ax2 at least. So for starters I can't use the function.
Glad yours is all working as expected!

Re: Newsletter #114 | September 2023

The css610 outputs more power than that. I would hope the specs would take into account that devices with 2.5 gbe ports use more power. Yes more near the mark, but do you see my point. CSS610: PoE-out Details PoE-out ports Ether1-Ether8 PoE out 802.3af/at Max out per port output (input 18-30 V) 100...

Re: Newsletter #114 | September 2023

Can you guys clarify the use case of 2.5G ports but with PoE output? I thought this kind of switch was great for high end PC's, not for plugging in more routers? Yes I'm building out my Home Network still which will be 2.5G forward of the Router, this switch is perfect for me BUT, I would like to b...

I would buy at least two of the CRS310-8P+2S+IN if those were released. I don't want it if they are going to do this NO! Re: WiFi with Apple Products

Just to add my two pence worth here about 1 apple device I have, I now only run WPA2 because it's a WPA2 only device, and also only allow that device to connect to my 5G AP's as it seems to want to have a fight when the device is allowed to choose between 2.4 and 5G WiFi. It does silly things like @...

Looking over this again, the power requirements are without attachments which I never intend to use. So the Question again is if I feed 28V to the 5009 will it output 28V to the following items or just not work? Cap ax Power requirement Max power consumption without attachments 12 W Hap ax2 Power re...

Re: Thinking of buying 5009 But..

In all honety I wasn't looking at the PoE outputs because I've only ever used Injectors. That would mean about 1Amp each at 28V so yeah no go, It wouldn't be a problem but my Hap ax2 has a faulty power socket which I am now going to have to change, I do have the sockets I just need to install it. So...

Thinking of buying 5009 But..

Not sure on Power Supply needed to feed both Hap ax2 and Cap ax over PoE or weather to just get the none PoE device, so here is my thought process. Thoughts on buying this RB5009UPr+S+IN or this RB5009UG+S+IN and using Injectors supplied. "All power options support a wide voltage range of 24 – ...
