Re: v7.15rc [testing] is released!

How does this sort of cycle compare to the competition for wifi stability etc?

Do you have the wifi-qcom-ac package installed? If yes, I doubt you would have enough space to download the adlist.

Ease of use, less complicated and all the bridging is done for you via the cap in cap mode.
I don't need to add loads of caps, just the one so no point in making a central config for security etc.

Re: Netinstall hAP ax2 Help

I think for my next try Linux may be the way forward. Since using Linux for netinstall, I NEVER used Windows anymore for that process. Windows, maybe 50-60% success rate. Linux, over 90% (I can only recall 1 Linux netinstall which I had to redo on maybe 15-20 installs and that was my own fault) Not...

Try without wifiwave2 package, only ros package. I had problem like your before when netinstalling ros.

Hi @holvoetn and @ToTheFull I have used Netinstall to re-install the routeros and wifiwave2 packages and now the bridge tables and interfaces are correct. So it's not a bug or hardware but perhaps something in the initial install or something I mistyped that caused the issue. When I did the first i...

Well the specs are a lot better for a start than a hAP ax2, you could even use it as a router if you had a switch. said cap even has two gigabit ports where other brands don't. I use my cAP for testing where I used to use another server. It just frees up stuff I don't need any more. hAP ax2 has 4.5d...

Re: ax series lineup WiFi issues

Updated to 7.11rc1, noticed frequent SA Query timeouts, like every 2-3 minutes for my air conditioner, no problem with signal as both AC and AP are in the same room, signal level is -41
Which beta did you come from 5 or 7?

Re: NEW FEATURE: Back to Home VPN

Of course you can just keep using Wireguard. This new feature is also using Wireguard, but it has one advantage, it can work even if your router has no public IP
Thanks for the further info. Great feature by the way!

Re: NEW FEATURE: Back to Home VPN

Silly question, but is it safe to just use the wireguard app with the QR code as I already installed that on the other-halves phone which seems to work ok but took ages to connect? Android by the way.

Even Zoomed all the way out I couldn't see all of the QR image. If I zoom out first it only shows Half of the image.
Display 1440x900 so that might be the problem.

Re: ax series lineup WiFi issues

Don't know, but all i can say is that it's working like a charm I'm not saying that mine doesn't work like a charm either, I was just trying to understand why it didn't log the link-downs, it turns out they are not link downs. It's the amount of times the radio has no clients connected to the radio...
