Re: Importing private SSH keys fails [SOLVED]

Yeah, I get that - but why have the option to specify a user in the SSH command, if it'll only use the keys from the executing user - it appears a pointless feature in that case.

Re: Importing private SSH keys fails [SOLVED]

Hmmm, So I think I've found the issue.... basically, the script ignores the user param when executing... For the script..... [routercomms@router] /system script> print from=routercommstest Flags: I - invalid 0 name="routercommstest" owner="auser" policy=ftp,reboot,read,write,poli...

Re: Importing SSH keys fails [SOLVED]

I'm having exactly the same problem importing private keys for SSH ssh-keygen -t rsa -b 2048 -f mikrotik_rsa -v -C "Mikrotik Key" Generating public/private rsa key pair. mikrotik_rsa already exists. Overwrite (y/n)? y Enter passphrase (empty for no passphrase): Enter same passphrase again...

newguy, Other things to try (previous MT advice): Try a hub/router between the RB & the PC. Try a straight through / cross over cable between the devices Put power straight to the board, and try ALL ethernet interfaces Ensure you format the NAND before each attempt Ensure any SW that monitors/re...

Re: ros upgrade attempt broke my rb532a

Hi, We experienced the same problem a few months ago with NETINSTALL and 2x RB333 boards, my supplier was as much use as an "ashtray on a motorbike", and the only real advice I got was from Normis, which, after much to-ing & fro-ing, resulted in him suggesting that the RB's were goosed...

Re: More ways to earn free licenses!

Normis, I understand you write to support 'FOR' your free license, but do we 'APPLY' for it by posting here? Sorry if you have already stated this, but it isn't clear. Either way ~ What about this one (for a free L6? (The cheek, eh!) - The reason I ask for a L6, is ALL my other (live) kit is RB, and...

Script to monitor unexpected script failure : Now on WIKI

ALL, After trying to work-out how to 'trap' errors from a failed "fetch" command, I gave up!!! Deciding instead to write a general script to monitor a defined (& modified) script for any/all failures. Personally, I think this is brilliant (but I would say that!!!) ;-) I hope others fin...

ALL, Well never one to be beaten on an issue, I have created the functionality required (Necessity being the mother of invention!) I hope others find this useful, I will create a new post as well to announce this, but here is the link to the WIKI to solve this issue: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Sc...

Re: Problem with script engine? ROS3.11 RB133

Thanks mrz, As I said, I haven't rolled back to test this, but I was pretty sure that I had tested it when I wrote the script initially (although I am not 100% sure) But, regardless of this, surely this is still a bug!!!! If this is a 'feature' of ROS, then this must be the first scripting language ...

Re: RB433AH vs RB600....Specs? "New Feature Announcements"?

Normis, Well double Duh! :-) Surely the end of the statement "...features to be announced in during Spring ‘08." ~ IS referring to SOMETHING specific!!!!! Or is this just sales Bu115h1t? If you're stating that MT have NO 'NEW' features due to be announced, then that's fine!!! I must be jus...

Re: RB433AH vs RB600....Specs? "New Feature Announcements"?

Normis, So after a brief search ;-) the statement is in the PDF brochure (http://www.routerboard.com/pdf/rb433ah.pdf) : "The 128MB DDR will be capable of supporting new RouterOS features coming. The microSD slot supports an additional memory card that can be used for a Dude database and other f...

Problem with script engine? ROS3.11 RB133

Guys, I appear to be getting a problem with scripting in 3.11 that didn't appear to happen with previous versions (that said, I haven't actually confirmed that this is true! i.e. I haven't rolled back the OS level). When I use a script such as: :if ([/tool fetch address=$server port=$port dst-path=$...

Pity you're web site isn't in English :-( I am based in the Murcia area of Spain, but unfortunately I really have very little Spanish language skills (Disculpa, mi habla mucho poco Espanol) - See what I mean ;-) Any advice gratefully received on this subject, either here or via PM - dave (at my .net...

Re: RB433AH vs RB600....Specs? "New Feature Announcements"?

Guys, On one of the posts or data pages (I can't remember where), there was a statement that the new RB433AH had 128Mb of memory that will be able to support "New Features" that will be announced in either spring or summer 2008 ( i.e. about now ;-) ). So I was just wondering *IF* there was...

NSTREAM2 - Would this work? Has anybody tried it?

Hi, Looking at my suppliers web page, I have found the following product: http://landashop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=33_169&products_id=672 I was considering using it with 2x radios for an NSTREAM2 connection, would this appear sensible having 2 antennas (1 vertical, 1 horizontal) to ac...

RB433AH vs RB600....Specs? "New Feature Announcements"?

Hi, I have looked through the MT & RB sites (and forums), and cannot find the pps/bps data for the RB433AH, and want to compare the comparative throughput. Obviously the RB600 is quoted as the "Fastest RB ever built", but this statement is now quite old, and it looks as if the RB433AH ...
