Re: Weird routing loop in logs but there isn't one.

Hi, I am about to purchase an RB3011 (so don't have my hands on one yet.) I have worked with MikroTik for a long time. I have taken the time to plan my configuration (and do research) while waiting for the hardware to arrive. The configuration I will use is simplistically as follows (there are other...

I also looked at the following;

[admin@MikroTik] /port> print detail
Flags: I - inactive

And there are no ports listed on the system which seems a bit strange.

RB411U, 4.17 & Vodafone K3805-z.

Hi,

I see that Vodafone K3805-z is not in Supported Hardware 3G cards.

I am running the following;

4.17
RB411U
Vodafone K3805-z

The card shows in

/system resource usb print

but not in

/port print

Has anyone managed to get this card to work?

EoIP tunnel(s) between 4 routers?

EoIP tunnel(s) between 4 routers?

Is this possible?

My thinking is that each router has both 1 pptp-server & 1 pptp-client running and they would connect to each other in a 'ring-like' 'head-to-tail' topology. 4 different tunnel id's would also have to be used.

Any thoughts?

Re: Block DHCP over EoIP Tunnel.

The reason I bridged and not routed was that both sites had windows workgroup servers that needed to be seen from either side. It seemed easier just to let them type in UNC's and browse that way. Thanks for the help, as I'm sure enabling the bridge settings to use the ip firewall will work.

Why do you have to use an internal DSL card? Connect an external DSL device to an ethernet card that is enabled without an ip address, setup the external DSL device to run in bridge mode, run mikrotik pppoe client over connected ethernet adapter and you will have the ip address on the mikrotik box.
