Re: What may I use CCR1036-12G-4S usb port for?

Thanks for such a detailed reply. I guess the only thing I was worried about was that the CCR routers might not support USB devices, since it's got an interesting CPU architecture (TILE), and in a lot of cases nobody writes drivers for esoteric architectures. I guess MikroTik guys did, if you have i...

Re: What may I use CCR1036-12G-4S usb port for?

I just tried connecting an Android phone to the CCR1036-12G-4S, but no LTE interfaces showed up (however, the USB device was detected). I also noticed there's no LTE package in the RouterOS bundle.

Does CCR1036-12G-4S even support LTE?

Re: IPTV solution with udpxy

In this way, you will get multicast traffic only between vdsl and Raspberry, and not on the WLAN.
You have a 5 port router... Why use it as a 2 port router with a a switch  ?
Yes, you do have a point. I'll see which solution seems more elegant.

Re: IPTV solution with udpxy

Set 1 input port from the modem, 1 output to the Raspberry allowing forwarding of multicast traffic, and the printer and WiFi in bridge mode to serve the local network, with multicast blocked. Raspberry only has one nic. If it had two, I'd connect one directly to modem, and the other one to routerb...

Re: IPTV solution with udpxy

Does the modem (which is presumably a router too) send multicast traffic out of all ports regardless? If it does then you may be seeing multicast traffic created when the STB requests a channel. I'm not sure ... I wouldn't say, since the light blink independently. What I know is, all ports act the ...

Re: IPTV solution with udpxy

Disabling b/g didn't help much - it's better, but still not usable. I've also disabled all lower datarates on wireless adapter, but this is really not a solution for me. IPTV solution with udpxy

Greetings everyone. I'd like to solve a simple problem of having an IPTV access on my wireless devices at home. I've tried using IGMP-proxy, but it doesn't work well with wireless solutions - each time I open an UDP broadcast connection, whole network slows down. Since I've got a spare Raspberry Pi,...

Today I turned on the STP protocol (in the bridge interface), and it didn't do any good.

Everything connected to the switch didn't work anymore, but at least this time, the mikrotik machine didn't start freezing.

Is there any other way to do that, with the same setup?

Can i give access to the internet only to users in ARP list - and block everyone that isn't on the list.
Or is there another way to allow certain MAC addresses in the network?
