Intel PCIe card compatibility check

Hey everyone, could anyone say 100% if the Intel PRO 1000 PCI-e x1 Desktop Gigabit Network Adapter is compatible with ROS 2.9.50? The card in question has the Intel 82572GI Gigabit Controller.

Our onboard Atheros LAN doesn't want to cooperate at the moment. Thanks!

Re: RB532 + Cold = ???

JP, thanks for the correction, we will stick a drain/breathing hole in our equipment right away.

(PS: I should have added that we have also insulated our boxes with a thin foam.)

Re: RB532 + Cold = ???

We use rb133s and have had a pretty nasty cold snap, -30C . We also live in an area with MAJOR weather swings! Happy to report that during high and low humidity, ice coating the outside unit, windchill, high winds, blah blah and everything survived the weather. BUT (and it's a big, round, Jennifer L...

Re: r3.0 SR9 AP and RB133 2.9.x and SR9 doesnt work

Greetings hytanium, best of luck with the xr9's; we are having good luck with everything on 2.9.50.

We haven't decided to take the time and switch everything to 3.0 yet, but if you could post your findings back here with your success (xr9 + 3.x) it would be greatly appreciated! Cheers

What are hardware retries?

Hello everyone I see an option in winbox to adjust the number of hardware retries, but I can't seem to track down exactly what this option means. I see that most people set their hardware retries to 7, while the default value seems to be 15. What's the difference? Thank-you in advance from myself an...

Re: Lost Interfaces

For the record, we've had mixed results when upgrading/downgrading ROS. Some aspects of the configuration don't always survive! Best advice I can offer is make sure you write down your configurations (and then photocopy  ) so in an emergency, you know what has to be done.

Re: bonding wireless for maximum throughput

your hardware and signal strenght must be strong. What is your hardware and your signal? We tried in the Lab. RB500 maximum TCP is around 20Mbps, RB300 40Mbps, RB600 40Mbps with maximum signal. (Just agreeing with above quote and put to rest the minds of fellow noobs.) It's true what they say - big...

ROS 2.9.50 & 3.x clients (possibly) incompatible?

Hey everyone. We have a few clients using rb133s with an xr9. Had good success with 2.9.50 on all clients at the same time. Naturally, we tried out a few of the 3.0 rc's when they became available but they seemed to become unstable (random disconnect/reconnect) and slowed down the 2.9.50 clients. We...
