Re: RouterBoard 600 - Failure

Hi, 1) Firmware is included in the v4.17 ROS already. To upgrade firmware from the command line - [admin@test] > /sys routerboard print If the current and upgrade firmware are not the same [admin@test] > /sys routerboard upgrade And press 'y' to continue 2) From winbox, go System > Logging. Re: PayPal not working

That 532a is running v3.30.. checked it a little while ago using Winbox. It says its upgradable to 3.xx. Apparently, what happened was that PayPal states that they have a firewall which flags your IP address if you try to pay on any computer which you have logged into your merchant account with... T...

Security Problem, hotspot login bypass

There is a way to bypass login page by running a scan, and spoofing your mac as someone else. I did some search on this page and was unable to find a topic on this.

Is there a way to stop this?

Blocking P2P.... Is this method for blocking X-Box, Playstation and other online gaming?. I would like to block online gaming of XBox and PS and other oline gaming in those categories due to bandwidth consumption. Upgrade for the ROS Using Winbox

I know this question has more than likely already been posted before. I am just getting back into working with my Mikrotik routers again. I have never upgraded a router OS before. I have been researching it on the Mikrotik WiKi's. http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Upgrading_RouterOS Also, inside Winbox,...

Re: HotSpot With Windows Server 2003 (Radius Server)

You do not need certificates. In IAS simply simply create a client that corresponds with the RouterOS device and devise a shared secret. Then make an access rule that permits access to the appropriate group. On RouterOS enable the RADIUS client and enable RADIUS authentication on the Hotspot instan...

Re: Freezing of RB532 with 2.9.20

Its now been 24 hours of uptime. So far so good... No instances where the radio is crashing. When I was in Iraq doing this, it was vice versa. I had to keep the box inside my hooch/living quarters due to the constant situations of 120-130 deg temps and dust storms outside.

OK, so far so good. You could do as i did. Temporarily,.. It s a little isky.. because you open your routerbox up to hackers for the time being. I havent had any problems yet though... Then once your configrations are done... you change the IP address and DNS on the routerboard to the new iP and DNS on your local netwo...

Have you got EoIP or other type of bridged vpn between the radio (encapsulated over the wlan link)? Otherwise, i repeat myself: you have a "conceptual" error on your network, becouse you can't assign IP address of the same broadcast domain (same network) to devices which are routed each other. Dont think they are trying to hide anything from me because, not only are they friends of mine, they are the ones I am getting my backhaul from and I imagine they would want to sell their bandwidth?

How large of a compact flash card can you use with a Mikrotik Routerboard? I see some of the vendors selling them with 64 and 128 mb flash cars, but never seen anything sold above 128.
