Re: Add new user via CLI/API version 5 not working

Is there any way we can add user automatically without using the GUI manually? We are trying to decide if we should use Mikrotik solution to roll out a big hotspot project. We are not able to use the Usermanager built-in paypal or Authorize.net payment systems therefore we need a way to interface wi...

Re: Add new user via CLI/API version 5 not working

Anyone have any clue what is the work around for the new version of UM to add a new user that actually work under CLI or API?

Is new version of UM ready for prime time or we are still on v4.17?

Thanks,
Sans

Re: ROS v3.27 justifies upgrade?

We just noticed at least 3 rb433 with ROS 3.27 with massive memory leak. Sent supout to tech support. Will update if that is true.   I stick to 3.24 InoX, I am not too sure about 3.24 either. I saw leak in 3.24, so I upgraded to 3.27 hopping that it will resolve the memory leak issu...

Re: The Dude beta 8

Firstly, thanks for the Dude! Great software. Just a few little issues: :D a) Import image files does not crash dude anymore. :( 1) All icons lost after upgrade, have to reassign them. 2) Have to reload background image. After loading, the whole dude slow down to a crawl. Also when you resize the ma...

You manage to get it working in VB6? I just can't get pass the authentication part. Do you have sample code just for that part?

Thanks,

Re: Next gen wireless card poll

Anything but u.fl . We had so many issues with u.fl from installers, tower crews to testers. We replaced so many pigtails!! MMCX seem to be better fit for the small form factor of the card but if you ask me, if I don't have to climb the 600-foot tower to change out the pigtail, I will surely vote f...

Is there a way to diable or block a mac/user from autheticating if he/she tried to login and failed after 3 times? I am trying to prevent users using bruteforce weblogin program to gain access to hotspot.

Cool down bro. Just did not have a chance to get to it yet since I made so many changes to the config. Also, when I connected to the MK, I am isolated from internet. Ok, below is the export from router B. Router A same config except with different IP on same subnet for ether1 and vlan B. # jan/01/20...

Re: Routerboard case hardware

Am I the only one who receives routerboard cases with rusty black screws (every time 100%) for years or does this apply to every shipment over the high seas? I'm just curious if MT even knows this. Just annoying for new product to be rusty right out of the box :) This is more of a trivia question t...

Re: Need VLAN help

but... how do you plan transmit VLAN tag via Internet?
Well, my users are not quite on the internet. We are the ISP so they all passing through my routers/switches before going out to internet. So, if I am connecting the 2 loactions, I have full control of all switches in between...

Re: Need VLAN help - Q-in-Q

Interesting... Found the news but I can't find it anywhere that show you how to do that. I searched through the V3.0 manual and did not return anything for "Q in Q", "QinQ", or "Q-inQ"

Anyone have any idea?

QinQ sure use less overhead I think.

Re: Need VLAN help

Hello: I realized that I was looking at something like Q-in-Q that offered by some other routers/switchs. Since Mikrotik do not have Q-in-Q built-in :( , I was able to use tunnels along with Mikrotik EoIP option. I don't even have to mess with VLAN at all! Problem resolved! 8) Thanks - SB
