Re: Atheros AR5B22 wireless mini-PCIe in RBM33G

Hello,

it looks like to be based on the AR9462, a combo ic 802.11n / Bluetooth 4.0 device (pci-e for wifi and usb 2.0 for Bluetooth, maybe used for notebooks) ...
I don't think it will ever work in Router OS... But maybe I'm wrong, just an idea.

R11e-LTE no traffic bug on 7.15.3 [SOLVED]

Hello everyone, I'm using a R11e-LTE modem with an RB33G with 6.49.13 and it works like a charm. I decided to upgrade to routeros 7.15.3 but the problem is that the LTE modem connects with the right APN, ip is assigned, default route added, interface in running state but no traffic is passed. If I t...

Re: R11e-LTE firmware update problem on RBM33G

Hi, I'm going to install the same LTE module on the same routerboard (I ordered the module and I'm waiting for the shipment) Actually I have 6.48.6 routerOS version but I need to upgrade to 7.15.3. I have a question: Does the R11e-LTE work without any problem on your RBM33G with ros 7.15.3? Thank yo...

Re: RB5009 reboots after removing USB modem

For me, after upgrading to 7.15.3 or 7.16beta it has not happened again... It happened to me with 7.15.3, and I cannot understand why. I don't think that it's a question of power surge because I use a usb isolator and the dongle gets power from a usb power injector, so the mikrotik usb is electrica...

Re: Strange issue: If pppoe is running LTE dongle doesn't work

Solved creating VRF "LTETEST" with interfaces =none and adding a route to 8.8.8.8 with gateway 192.168.8.1 using the dinamically created routing table

now i can test lte connection with ping 8.8.8.8 vrf=LTETEST

but the difference between the two dongles remains a mystery

Re: RB5009 reboots after removing USB modem

Good day, recently I bought an RB5009UG+S+IN, updated it to the latest stable version (v7.14.3) and tested out with it a D-Link DWM-157 USB modem. When I was done with the experiments, I unplugged the modem and suddenly lost connectivity to the router after which I realized it had rebooted itself. ...

Strange issue: If pppoe is running LTE dongle doesn't work

Hi everyone. I run a RB5009 with pppoe main ftth connection and a usb lte dongle for failover. Everything works as expected if I use the Alcatel IK1VE. The route distance for the lte dongle is set to 2 and the route distance for pppoe conenction is set to 1. If I issue, e.g., the command "ping ...

Re: E3372-325 lte dongle is not detected

Hi everyone, I just bought this lte dongle and I successfully tested it on two routerboards in my possession without any problem. Just plugged in after the initial configuration on my windows workstation. Tested on RB433UAH with 6.48.6 mipsbe and Rb5009 with 7.15.3 arm64. The software version of the...

If I want to keep off an LTE modem for e.g. 10 days and I want to check if usb connection is working every 12 hours turning on usb and then turning it off again for 10 days Maybe you have a "wrong" example. What if you make the USB power-reset have a duration of 11:59:50, then you have a ...

Re: L009UiGS-2HaxD-IN vs. RBM33G Performance results [SOLVED]

Since you mention USB, the L0009 be the winner since it has USB 3.0. But beware of probable interference to 2.4GHz WiFi caused by USB3 (search the internet ). Thanks for this information, I wasn't aware of it. Anyway the LTE modem is USB 2.0 and antennas are placed out of the cabinet via coaxial ca...

Re: L009UiGS-2HaxD-IN vs. RBM33G Performance results [SOLVED]

Since you mention USB, the L0009 be the winner since it has USB 3.0. While RBM33G is USB 2.0. I'd go with the L009 just on the fact plus @normis's point the L009 has been more heavily tested with V7. Whether L009 or RMB33G is better/worse is likely pretty close and depend on the exact configuration...

Hello,

I'm actually using a RBM33G with FTTH 1000/300 with onboard configured multiple vpn tunnels, vpn server, firewall rules etc.
I get generally 980/280 Mbps without any problem and during this speedtest cpu hits about 60% usage.

Re: L009UiGS-2HaxD-IN vs. RBM33G Performance results [SOLVED]

If you don't care about WiFi at all (because it has 2GHz only), sure. But if you want not only equal performance + ARM packages, but also better performance, consider RB4011/RB5011 But he wants a USB port, the next step is more likely to be a RB5009, isn't it? Same list price of 219$ of the 4011, a...

Re: L009UiGS-2HaxD-IN vs. RBM33G Performance results [SOLVED]

Thank you for your answers. Yes, I need more functions available only on ARM architecture (like ZeroTier), a device that can be installed in a small network rack with external antennas with a good heat dissipation design, and more processing power. AX2 has no USB that I need for LTE failover and has...

Re: Mikrotik hAP ax3 poe out question

by default POE is turned OFF and it won't turn on by itself if connected to a device that doesn't ask for power. at least for me it never happened while it's set to auto. if you set it to forced-on, yes it will power anything and probably fry a non-poe device. you can always use a gigabit poe injec...

Hi everyone, I tried to find answers around, in this forum too and somewhere else. The question is simple.
