I'm getting endless messages 'Handshake for peer did not complete after 5 seconds, retrying (try 2)' in log.
In Logging, select info, then add wireguard to it, then add the negative sign to wireguard.

I experienced the same problem as yours. If your LTE module version number ends in 01.03, then follow these steps to upgrade it manually to 01.04: 1. Download the firmware upgrade: /tool fetch https://upgrade.mikrotik.com/firmware/FG621-EA/16121.1034.00.01.01.03/image 2. Install it manually: /int l...

This actually appears to be new behavior as of 7.9ish, see here

Not sure whether this is just new visibility into an existing problem, or what, but it sure does saturate my logs. I had to drop radvd warnings from being logged at all

Any router that might be designed for use as a test bed or lab environment should be designed with a serial port.
The fact that the RB5009 wasn't baffles me. Initially, it looked attractive till I saw the serial port wasn't there..
Just get a RB4011 instead..

Don't use it..Don't need it.. Who cares..
That being said, I wish Mikrotik would spend development efforts into refining their core ROS instead of releasing adding that very few people would use other than once.

I have the following firmware , and it shows an update available:

Screen Shot 2020-08-20 at 12.37.21 PM.png

I have tried to upgrade the firmware via the command line, shows "downloading", but just seems to sit there and do nothing no matter how long I wait.

Thoughts?

Thanks, tp

I've been doing PIM-Sparse on Mikrotik for quite some time now. After a little learning curve, I have it working quite reliably. It should be easy enough to deploy for you.
Now, if Mikrotik would only integrate IGMP-Snooping... :D :D

RC software is for testing purposes, do not complain if your unit doesn't boot after upgrade. If you want to be useful, try to describe your problem to mikrotik's staff, so they can find and fix the bug that caused it.

Mikrotik's has always had a non-conventional syntax approach to Vlans. It makes it difficult at times to understand their approach when you've learned CISCO's syntax.

Doesn't mean I don't like the Tik boxes, just wished it was a bit more conventional for cross platform knowledge. 8)

Tim,
Ensure your RB is connected to the Wireless using "Station" mode with a dhcp client on the wireless interface.
You might have done this already.
Set a bridge to connect ether1 and wlan1.
Ensure that the other ether ports set ether1 as their master.

Give it a whirl.

Hey Mikrotik, can you spend some time on getting Winbox 3.x to work properly?

I would rather see that working than anymore ROS updates that tend to stress me out. :)

Mind you, some good ROS updates, but I would rather not have to keep rearranging my Winbox window placements all the time. 8)

Re: RouterOs 6.23rc1 changelog

Be patient. It's normal that they don't know what changed at specified version ;)

Really?
Why would Mikrotik post a version change without knowing what content changes were made?
Why would anyone download a new version without knowing what changes were made.
