ssid missing

ssid is missing in export compact. In webfig, the terminal doesn't always format correctly. Letters run down the side instead of the same row like a sentence. I have a ticket turned in on this one. tk PS: sorry, meant this to be in the 5.15 release notice. If it can be moved there that would be good.

On the cpu at 100%, in my case I use Zenoss to monitor the network. Zenoss re-models each device every 12 hours which uses snmp. At those intervals, I see 100% cpu warnings coming from the 5.7 ROS devices. I didn't see that in 4.17.

Anyone know the mib for the freq an AP such as a 411AH. I found it on the station in the private section, 14988.1.1.1.1.1.7 but that doesn't exist in the AP. Would be nice if there were in the same place so I can use the same template to monitor both AP and station in a point to point.

You will need nstreme2 for that. I have 18.5 mile links and am running 30+ meg through them. Good signal strength is needed though, in the low 60's is the best. I have found that over 10 miles it is best to go with 3 foot dishes to get that speed.

FC5 to FC5 server

Well, I have just finished installing b2 on FC5 box, FC5 server and a laptop with windows. Dude server is on the FC5 server. Works from there and can view it there though it is slow. I can also view it from the laptop and it updates there. I can get the map to load from the FC5 box connecting to the...

Connect to it remote, 127.0.0.1 on that box. Also the server must run as root. It should be in your .wine folder.

Dude on linux

Well, a few observations. I have set Dude up on a FC5 server with the server running there under wine. If I use Dude client on the FC5 server, everything works. Link info on the map is updated, and if you cursor over the device it will display the graph. If I use Dude client on a Windows box and con...

Didn't think of that. Yep it runs as root. Change the fonts to get text to show up or show correctly and it works. I find it is pretty slow under FC5 when trying to make changes to it though.

FC5 and the Dude

Well, so far I am unable to get The Dude to run properly under wine in Fedora Core 5. I have the latest in everything. It will start, but I have to go to use the file browser to find the .exe to start it. Using connect to remote and 127.0.0.1 it connects to the server. If I run a scan, it shows scan...

Couple more questions on this. In the 2.8 version of this it uses a parent of global-in or global-out. In the 2.9 version of this it uses the specific interface. Why the difference? This next one looks like it has been discussed elsewhere several times but I don't see a clear answer. It appears thes...

On the 2.9 example above I get an error on the line adding the queue tree. I assume this has to do with parent=WAN. Something goes in the place of WAN? I assume this would be one of the interfaces. For instance on a wireless ap connection, the wlan1 would be LAN and the ether1 would be LAN?

Well, I figured it out. I simply forgot that nstreme2 was a new interface and needed ip addresses. I took out the addresses I had on each wireless card, added addresses for the nstreme2 interfaces, corrected my routing and it worked fine.
Hope that helps others that are new to nstreme2

nstreme2 and routing [SOLVED]

Well, I guess I am a bit thick headed. I have been working on setting up a nstreme2 backhaul, lets say tower1 and tower2. I finally have the radios associated but I cannot pass data, ping or tracert to the laptops from either side. Test layout is like this. laptop 64.xxx.xxx.xxx (represents core rou...

I have a couple of questions along this line. I am going to be changing over to sectors which means my current clients must be moved. Clients are not running MTK but the sectors will be. I assume you are setting up the MTK as ap-bridge. Therefore you must route traffic to your clients through the ap...

looses settings on wireless

using the current 2.8.xx stable I have found when you change out the wireless card the previous settings for that card are lost. That means I have to reset the wireless card settings and routing for that wlan interface if I need the techs to put in a new card. That is especially troublesome if the o...

TX/RX signal strength

We just put in a new 14.5 mile link using RouterOS on 5 gig with CM9s. Last night the station end of this link started disconnecting and connecting at about 1 am. I found it this morning when I got up and found I could reach the station at first. It disconnected a couple more times then the rest of ...
