Normis it might be a good idea if you guys want to have a look into it. On first boot the box can check the usb drive for initial configuration file.

Re: Hide ISP Provider

Ask your provider to change their IP assignment in APNIC (i.e. if they assigned you a block of IP's). If the connection you have is a DSL connection that is not possible since the IP you have is part of a much bigger pool of IP addresses and is not possible to change the listings in APNIC. Hello all,

Does anyone knows if MK is working on a fix for the BGP snmp query in version 5 of the ROS. In version 4 when snmp is enabled on a router that runs BGP snmp will actually cause BGP to crash.

Hello guys,

This affects the BGP stability on the RouterOS as well. It might not fail within 30 or 60 days of operation but it will fail at somepoint. I used to have that problem until I disabled the snmp on the RouterOS and then disabled the RouterOS querying on the dude as well.

Hello kostil,

Your configuration is correct as it is.

What I have noticed on the switch is that you have 2 interface resets. This can happen if packets queued for transmission were not sent within several seconds or sometimes a cable problem.

Also can you post a

Hi Kostil, Right the next step is the configuration on your switch and the configuration on the ROS. I'm guessing the drops you have are due to a VLAN trunk. Re: 3.22 routing test bgp prepending

My experience with RouterOS and BGP so far has not been the best. If you apply filters to live peers the peers tend to go idle and the routing module usually crashed. When you have a big database of prefixes if you open the ip routes from winbox the router crashes and needs reboot. And I've noticed ...

Re: Dual Inet connection routing decision.

Well if I understand correctly you want to redirect traffic that is destined for a network reciding on the providers 2 network through the providers 2 network not your default gateway. Well you either need to add all the networks of the provider as static routes. Or ask them to use a routing protocol.

Why don't you add both default gateways but one of them with higher distance. Then set the system to check with ping the gateway. If it is down it will fall back to the backup one. That is the easier solution.

If the SIP account gets verified
Then add the IP address of the user to a an address list and set the firewall rules to accept traffic destined to those devices when the session is established.

You can do that from your firewall rules.
