RB600 dead from lightning

We had a bad storm here over the weekend that took out one of our RB600A's. We can't see any damage to it, but it won't come on at all even with a power supply plugged in directly. Is there a certain diode or anything that could be replaced that might fix it? Thanks ahead of time.

It's on roc-noc.com now. Not in stock yet, but it has a price of $89.99 for the non-gigabit one. Yikes! That seems a little high to me, but it is a higher power router I guess. I was hoping the gigabit one would be around that price though. Edit: It says on the product page that the pricing is just ...

Re: Question about RB1200

Well you can't exactly bond them together. Meaning that if you do a speedtest you won't get 50mbps, you only get 6. You can do load balancing though so that all of the links get used equally and you can have a total throughput of 50mbps. So as long as you're not going to offer anything higher than 6...

you can use PEXT or POE to power the POE out router. It is similar to 802.3af except, auto feature will start work with less resistance than set 19KOHM set in standard and it will power 9 to 28V devices. Limitation is that you have 600mA on port, so if you use 28V PSU you will get 16W on the board,...

Re: 802.11n

When testing indoors at close range, do you still need to keep the antennas a certain distance apart and use different polarizations? I'm using 2 R52n's.

Thanks,

Jason

Re: Hot new Mikrotik Radio Card - R52Hn

Anyone else test these yet to see how well they perform? Do they outperform the R52n? I've had no luck getting anything greater than 30 Mbps UDP on 5 GHz or 2 GHz. I've tried several different people's configs who say they get close to 100, but not me!

Re: Radio Mobile basics

Yeah I have trouble getting good estimates from it too... But it's still nice to see the side view of the link.

Can't get R52N to do 40MHz

Try as I may, I cannot get R52N's to do 40MHz. I've got 2 antenna's hooked up to them. I've tried basically all the combinations possible on the ht chains. I've enabled the HT extension channel. I've tried changing the HT Guard Interval to long. And I've tried numerous settings with N-streme enabled...

RB433AH's CPU chokes on version 4 beta4

Ok, we recently got some of the new R52N cards and wanted to try them out. First, I tried one R52N card in a RB133 and another R52N in another RB133. I made on an AP, and one a client. It took me awhile to figure out why it could only do around 13 Mbps, but I finally came to the conclusion that it w...

Oh really?? So, how do you go about using the store command with a micro-SD card?

Re: RB 433AH Micro SD Card - When will we be able to use this?

As it turns out, a web server and ftp server are already built into RouterOS. If you type in the ip address of the Routerboard, it will bring up a web interface for your device. Not only that, but you can also download the Winbox software from it! Also, you can ftp into router OS and transfer files ...

Re: RB 433AH Micro SD Card - When will we be able to use this?

I am also wondering if micro-sd cards can be used for storage on RouterOS. Is it possible to access the files stored on the card through a http or ftp connection to the Routerboard? Can RouterOS be a webserver or is there any plans in the future for it? Our WISP is wanting to be able to download fil...

Graphing an average of pings

Hello, I would like to find a way to graph an average of pings. Basically, I want to be able to ping 5-10 different clients off of the same site, find the average ping, and then graph the average. This way we could tell if there might be something wrong with the site, such as if the average ping is ...
