Because it has newer generation switch CPU and faster Management CPU. On CRS326 all SFP+ interfaces can be used in 1G mode if required. CRS226 supports SFP only in port SFP+1.

This is the limit of 600MHz AR9344 CPU, you can overclock it to 750MHz to get extra 25% power. For gigabit routing better use PowerPC based RB1100AHx2 or Tilera based CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+. Or you can wait for cheaper RB850Gx2 which is also Dual Core PowerPC.

Strange Winbox problem on RB433(AH) with IC+IP175D switch

I've found a strange problem of ROS 5.x when connecting to all of RB433/RB433AH with switch chip IC+ IP175D on ethernet ports 2 and 3. The problem occurs only on those ports when connecting by MAC-address of RB with Winbox. Winbox shows inactive buttons, unknown interfaces, long delays when creating...

Currently I'm using two SXT G-5HnD on 400m distance. The TX-power lowered to 5dB to achieve -60-62dB TX/RX Signal on both ends. Real TCP-throughput is 135-140Mbit/sec with maximum latency 20ms at full load. Before I used two RB600a+r52Hn with Cyberbajt Gigaether Duo 19dB dual pol. panel antennas for...
