Re: [SOLVED] Hotspot with SSL: Private Key and Certificate fail

Well I think there is no use on having linux after all, all you need is a version of OpenSSl for windows, for example this one: http://www.slproweb.com/download/Win32OpenSSL_Light-0_9_8g.exe After install go to the /bin directory and run the executale file, you can then create your own certificate a...

Re: [SOLVED] Hotspot with SSL: Private Key and Certificate fail

I tried this tutorial and it works really good, thanks very much, everything is very well explained and you should definitely publish it in MikroTik wiki. I don't know if the live cds are able to do this, if they have OpenSSl installed, i'm pretty sure it is possible. Then you just need an ftp client...

Re: Mikrotik+Freeradius+MySql -> No Uptime Limit Attribute???

I think this attribute (acct-session-time) only returns the time ( in seconds ) that the user was receiving service. I cannot set it's value so it would decrease.
I think the value is set to 0 by deault and than will increase the number of seconds the user was receiving service.

Anyone... help :)

Re: Mikrotik+Freeradius+MySql -> No Uptime Limit Attribute???

I'm using MT + FreeRadius + MySql and i have the authentication scenario working, but i can't find one attribute that replaces the Uptime limit. I'm also using Daloradius because it's easier to create users and set their attributes. If you have profiles in Daloradius it recognizes the attributes and...

Re: Mikrotik+Freeradius+MySql -> No Uptime Limit Attribute???

Does the Mikrotik recognize the Max-all-session attribute?
What is the best attribute to use in FreeRadius with the same function as Uptime Limit?

Mac authentication Info

Is there any information on how the mac authentication works in therms of protocol?
Like what messages does the AP send, what is the security beneath this authentication (if any). I've read the manual and it doesn't say anything about that.
Is there any RFC that supports this?

More problems with RB600 and R52H

I've recently bought one RB600 and 4xR52H wireless cards, and nothing seems to work arround here, very poor signal and signal breaks all the time. I tried to put some R52H cards on a RB133 and they work better, but still worst than my good old R52. Other problem: Now i tryed some NAT on my eth1 (on ...

Re: Chains

Ok, when i use the Filter-Id tag on the RADIUS server I supose that the MT would recognise this tag and create a dynamic chain, so i could control the trafic from diferent types of users. Filter-Id: firewall filter chain name. It is used to make dynamic firewall rule that will jump to specified chai...

I can't seem to find any of this documentation, in the manual says that it is possible, but it doesn't say how.

Framed-pool with freeradius

I want to know if anyone knows how to work with framed-pools defined in the freeradius database. I'm trying to get a scenario where users authenticate via 802.1x on freeradius and depending on their group they will be assigned with a different address pool defined on mikrotik router. I've tried to i...

Re: WDS/repeater security

I found out that WDS does not support dynamic keys such as in WPA, it only supports WEP or WPA-PSK.
Is there a way that i can expand the range of my network through wireless links using 802.1x authentication?
