Re: Backport working LTE devices from ROS7 to ROS6?

Appreciate your reply Neilson.

I've unfortunately had to use Huawei B315's for my project. Unfortunate circumstances as I've lost a lot of functionally but my timelines didn't line up with waiting for RIOS7.

Re: Backport working LTE devices from ROS7 to ROS6?

Ahhh. That's the first time I've heard/read that it's the kernel that's the issue. Understand that's not obviously something you backport. I'm in NZ. Not so straight forward to get hold of things for testing purposes, I can end up with $1k of devices I can't use. Most of the ones easily accessible t...

Backport working LTE devices from ROS7 to ROS6?

Looking through this: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Supported_Hardware#4G_LTE_cards A lot of the cards/usb devices that are available easily are only supported on ROS7. I'm not interested in getting into a discussion when ROS7 will be ready, but what's the possibility that whatever has been done in ...

Re: RB951G-2HnD with USB modem vodafone 4G Huawei

That thread is from 2014, what's the situation? Does anyone know what is different with the K5150? It's an extremely cheap and available device... Would be great to support it asap.

Probe Help

From what I can tell The Dude doesn't differentiate between "0" and a Null reply as being different. I have some probes setup where a result of "0" is perfectly acceptable, but a Null result is an actual down. Unfortunately when using the built in if function it appears to treat them the same, so I ...

Function "comments"

Is there a way to add comments inline when writing a function? I need to cycle through ~20 odd OIDs for different devices, and if I change one of those devices I want to be able to find it easily. The only way I can think of is by commenting inline and searching later.

Re: The Dude 4 (beta)

I just upgraded over top of 3.5 with minor issues. I had to add in the default SNMP setting but that was it. I had major issues with graphs. I had a line graph with about 15 different lines which was horrible, now it's mint. All of the historic data (1 year +) has come across too. Will provide some ...

Cacti and NAGIOS both open source and are worth checking out. Predominately linux/web based however you can get both of them to run on any platform.

Re: Charts: How to stop 0 values

Hey lebowski - That's for the quick reply! This is probably a really noobish question, but where for the life of me do I find information on the functions? I did try and find out more information on the oid() before trying this. I do poll every 30 seconds, so I changed the datasource on one of the d...

Charts: How to stop 0 values

Evening. I used this guide to achieve what I want: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Graphing_Client_Signal_Strength which was to graph initiator signal strength/remote signal strength/initiator noise/remote noise of 16 Proxim Tsunami's. It's all working well, but when for what ever reason they can't ge...

How are you displaying your traffic usage on links?

I'm just curious as to how everyone else is displaying their SNMP traffic across links? I have a Wireless Mesh network that I'm monitoring with The Dude, and with the wireless devices that are setup in bridge mode, I could get the traffic info from that bridge from either of the two devices. This co...

Re: urgent: dude cause router or switch cpu peak high

I'm not having this exact issue, but would also like to know if I can only poll SNMP x, y or z (Ie, just Interfaces). Some of the route/arp/bridgefdb tables on some of the Wireless devices I have are huge, and I can see it causing a problem in the future.
