Forwarding failure in mesh interface

Hello, I just spent 3 hours trying to find out why wireless wds mesh behaves strange and does not work for some hosts. If someone can give me an explanation and show errors in configuration, I will be really greatful. The setup is quite simple (ROS 5.14 everywhere on MTs): [laptop-10.20.40.101/24] -...

Feature request: openvpn topology subnet mode

Hi,
Openvpn supports a normal broadcast subnet mode "topology subnet". This mode has great advantage over p2p, as it is possible to run multicast applications (OSPF for starters) on that network.

Please consider updating openvpn version and include support for 'subnet' topology.

Re: WDS performance and best practices

I use WDS with 802.11n with Nstream on backbones all the time with no problem..
Could you please give me some clues how to do that, how are your MTs configured and how does the performance look like? I've tried to run WDS on Nstreme links, but with no success.

Regards,

Re: WDS performance and best practices

@ayufan: Is it broken only with n cards, or the cost of using it is always that high, no matter what type of cards you use? And, why is the cost so gigh, how does it work, that it is that ineffective? Yep - Don't do it. If you want Max thruput, you need to spend more money and have AP<->Client all o...

WDS performance and best practices

Hi, I'm having some troubles with WDS dynamic-mesh performance and I have some questions about best practices. Here is my setup: 2 x (RB 433 UAH, ROS 4.10, R52Hn) The wireless interface is in WDS, which is added to a mesh, and it is working as "ap-bridge". Now, when I have no WDS enabled, ...

Re: 802.11n

OK, I'm having... issues with 802.11n and despite of the reading of this forum I can't cope with configuration. Here's the hardware I've got: 2 x (RB 433 UAH, ROS 4.10, R52n) The wireless interface is in WDS, which is added to a mesh. Both antennas of R52n are AirMax AM-5G16, connected on pig tails ...
