Re: [Possible bug] 6.41.1 - FastPath issue

At the switch, ports are interconnected using the common bridge (bridge-trunk). All ports are hw-offloaded to this bridge. Switch->VLANs option in hardware chip is used to filter VLANs on links (I know, it is one old approach, haven't migrated it to the new one yet). Summary: With FastPath: VLAN10-P...

[Possible bug] 6.42.1 - FastPath issue

HW: CRS125-24G-1S SW: 6.42.1 (current) Experiencing FastPath issue in the configuration that worked correctly with 6.41.* The issue is very strange and little bit difficult to exactly pinpoint. We have multi VLAN environment connected using CRS as central VLAN switch. The switch is used only as L3 s...

Re: Strange Multi ISP issue with CCR

Mikrotik support suggested: add action=mark-routing chain=prerouting connection-mark=amres_con new-routing-mark=route_amres passthrough= yes add action=mark-routing chain=output connection-mark=amres_con new-routing-mark=route_amres passthrough= yes That solved the issue. Now I am trying to figure, ...

[solved] Strange Multi ISP issue with CCR

We have one strange Multi ISP issue. Another set of eyes would be helpful. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/g_0EPElzEFV7TmVt_KbH8fR1wNnVrXcE92AUwa78auAg2mG9CISl44An9jgp0-o1yZspAAJDsvh0_KVCI6vVsuwtvYH92w=w1600-h778-rw https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B53FAYPUcgZ_LUpKdnFxSFdRMFZFRkcwTXRqRVFpV21wTE1n/...

Re: 3.5 GIG - Public-Mikrotik-Bandwidth-Test-Server

Hmm, for some reason I could not connect to 207.32.195.2 using BW test in MT with TCP (user btest/btest) from Serbia.
Is it just some temp issue, or is this project done with testing ?

Great job anyway !

Re: OpenDaylight and Openflow

Same issue with 6.31.
When I try to insert flow that change Network layer addresses (src or dst IP) getting message OFPET_FLOW_MOD_FAILED OFPFMFC_ALL_TABLES_FULL.
Same action with OpenVStiwtch works correctly.

Re: IPv6 Routing table - somethings does not sounds right

Here is some best practice explanation about Next-hop for IPv6 In IPv6, fe80::/10 is reserved for this purpose, though link-local addresses are always configured with a fe80::/64 prefix. The concept of a link-local address is much more heavily used in IPv6, and one very popular use case is in next-h...

Re: IPv6 Routing table - somethings does not sounds right

Hmm, strange thing. Could not ping other side on link via link-local address. Routing table did not include any record about link-local addresses. Also it refuses to accept static route via link-local address. Then I configured OSPFv3 (but for two routers it should not be required). Pings started to...

Re: IPv6 Routing table - somethings does not sounds right

Do you have route marks involved?
No, IPv6 is clean installation, just Tunnel, addresses and routes are configured.

IPv6 Routing table - somethings does not sounds right

Is it possible that Mirkotik FW still have issues with basic IPv6 routing procedures ? My guess is that I am doing something wrong but maybe is an issue. With recent FW 6.28 you can see on img thing that bother me. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ncsek0qssg1tvt0/Screenshot%202015-04-23%2015.24.51.png?dl=1...

Re: Redundant MikroTiks and Overriding Connect Routes

I have made a script that ping internal switch using VRRP ip address from primary router, and if ping fails, it disable and enable VRRP interface.
This script is started every 3 seconds.
That way, connection will not broke even if VRRP process stops for a second.

Re: Redundant MikroTiks and Overriding Connect Routes

bitshop, I have same issue. For some reason, at some moment, Master VRRP router just stops forwarding data. It response on ping from MT, but do not respond on ping from inside network, or not forwarding any packet from internal network. VRRP is on internal network address, so it is connectable from ...

Re: NAT64 and DNS64

I am fully supporting idea of NAT64. Until dual stack is active, administrator will keep forcing IPv4 due its simplicity and short form of ip address that is easy to remember. Only way to accelerate improvement process by transferring completely to IPv6 is to transfer small networks and become prepa...

Re: Winbox suggestion

winbox.cfg saves plain text passwords !
Why does not it save MD5 or SHA1 password, and not to use plan text authentification when sending password (even with secure connection).
Just simply store and authentificate with MD5 or SHA1 hashed password, like many others programs.

OpenVPN auth wirh certificates

I am trying to setup OVPN server to authenticate users only with certificates.
This could be great improvement for network security.

Auth using username and pass pass ok.
Does anybody maked setup server to accept users by their certificate (CN field) ?
