I had the same error today 6.49.6
CAPSMAN running on same device as interfaces
resolved by setting the caps-man-addresses=192.168.199.1 (ip of system)

Feature Request: Dude cli expose details

exposing the details of the various items kept within the dude database via the cli would be a massive help. Currently the details of Devices for example are all accessible via winbox but if I do a /dude device print detail Then I get just the device name - having ip address, type, status etc. here ...

Re: v6.47.2 [stable] is released!

We are experiencing problems with the dude since upgrade to 6.47.2 - viewing maps is fine but as soon as you open a node to edit or view detail the dude exits and reconnects.

Re: Can't read Voltage via SNMP on CRS112-8P-4S

if you use the dude to monitor then you can get this value using a function
round(ros_command(":put [/system health get psu1-voltage]"))/10

windows RDP and Filesharing problem over wireless link

I got a wierd one. I have a nicely working point to point wireless setup using mtik 4.6 and routerboards w R52n cards running n@5Ghz. From my windows 7 machine I can ping everywhere. I can RDP/fileshare to Windows XP machines over the link. I can't RDP/Fileshare to Windows 7/2008 over the link as I ...

Re: problem with upgrade to N

I really don't understand if I am doing something completely wrong or not.. I am still getting "extensive data loss" / "not polled for too long" dropping me every 5 seconds or so on my one connection. On the other where there is only 100m of open space separating 2 flat panels (w...

Re: problem with upgrade to N

Thanks Chupaka, but already tried this tip posted by you in another topic - I tried a few values right up to max of 15 with no change. The thing that gets me is that this was nice and stable and fast for the first 20 minutes and then it just went pear shaped. The only thing I can think of that chang...

problem with upgrade to N

Hi All, I have been battling with this now for hours and have tried all the suggested fixes I found in the forums with no improvement. When I brought up this link it worked great for some time and then started dropping giving me the following log in a long loop 02:12:37 wireless, info 00:0C:42:61:2C:...

viewing NAT mappings

Hi, Apologies for the dumb question, but after searching about I have found nothing useful. I have setup a RB750 as the gateway on our network with firewalling, NAT, Queues and some VPN's etc. (Mostly put together from posts on the wiki and other sources) Things are working nicely, but in my queues ...

Re: Problems with VPN

I am on RouterOS 3.29 and am also experiencing the problem of l2tp server responding on random external ip's ignoring the ip it came in on.
Unfortunately I can't get away from having multiple external IP's in my setup so have to use a different vpn solution

mangle: new-connection-mark before new-packet-mark

Hi, I have read the documentation and googled with no result so please can someone brighter than me explain why in Mangle people first mark the connection and then use the connection mark to mark the packet instead of just marking the packets.. The reason I ask is that I have monitored this process ...

thanks a lot that did the trick - I have had a look through the packet flow diagram and the documentation and don't fully understand why this makes the difference, but it is working swell now so that's all I am worried about.
Cheers

Not sure if this is embarrassing or relief.. I upgraded them all to v3.10 and had the same results – per accident I found the cause being that when the AP is in scan mode nothing will find it including the laptop etc.. :?

Re: newbie problem, cant see mikrotik net

Thanks for the reading, this is all well and fine, but if I can't see the network or get a connection for a start it doesn't help. I doubt there is a physical problem due to the kit being brand new and several units acting the same way.
