3.5G cards

Has anyone been working with PCMCIA 3G Sierra Wireless AirCard 850 or USB 3.5G Plus Novatel Ovation MC950D and rb230?? I see them in system resources, but when I configure ppp connection and try to connect, it says couldn't acquire serial port, and if I look at the port flag, the usb ports appear as...

Re: Run a script via API

I can't use /system/script/print in API, it doesn't respond. I've acquired id in winbox and displayed it in my API, but it doesn't run properly. It runs the script, as run count increments, but not execute the script code (I think). If I launch the script in winbox or via ssh it works fine. Any clue...

Run a script via API

I have a java API GUI. It works fine with all the commands I've tried, but when i try to run a script it doesn't run.
I send to ros "/system/script/run"+"\n"+"=.id=name of the script".
I'm using janisk java API as a start point.
Does anyone know why it's not working??

Smart UPS

I'm willing to put a Routerboard on a car so I need a UPS to power up the routerboard after the car engine is turned off, in order to provide enough time for the routerboard to shutdown properly. The specs are: 12V DC input, 24V DC output and less than 15W power. If anyone know of a UPS that I could...

rb230 input voltage reading??

Hi, I'm using a rb230 and I'd like to know if it's possible to read input voltage (I know it's possible with rb333) and the ros commands to do it.
Thanks.

Re: Need help on UPS battery monitoring for routerboards

Hi. I'm a last year telecommunications' student. I find the post very interesting and I'd like to know more about it; how it works, if the results are as good as expected... in order to include it in my dissertation. I was thinking to connect a UPS to my routerboard in order to protect it from power...

Re: Script to save scan data

Yes, I know that. My connection list rules are: -Not to connect to certain MAC addresses: the ones of the other WLAN and VirtualAPs associated to it. -Connect to "anyone" if signal strength is in this range: -75..75. The issue comes when, without SSID, it connects to a AP with -70dbm having one with...

Re: Script to save scan data

Thanks, I just realized that.
But I have a cuestion. I've done that, but it doesn't connect to the AP with the best signal strength (-47 in my case) and instead connects to another one in the range i've displayed but with worse signal strength (-70).
Do you know why this happens??

Re: Script for scan

Thanks, but that doesn't suit my needs.
I have two wlan enabled, one in station mode and the other as AP. If I do what you told me, the station connects to my AP, and doesn't work properly.

Script to save scan data

Is it posible to make a script that saves the values of all the connections found when a scan is done??
The main point is to do a scan, see the signal level and connect to the best one via script.
