Hi Guys
I setup a test environment inside today between two alix outdoor aps. It seems the 4.3 Nsteam is really buggy. If i enable nstreme and setup the bandwidth test between two end points the link is up and down every 30 seconds. Remove nstreme and it is stable.

Hey Guys
Just wondering if any of you have had issues with 3g and routeros. I have a supported usb modem but find it drops out and fails to re establish. I get errors in my logs with cant detect serial. Or it just continually loops connecting. Singal is -69. Any ideas

We have just come across the exact same issue using a wyse terminal with windows xp embedded. Hotspot resolves through dns lookup but fails in the browser. A simple host entry fixes the problem. What worries me is all the road warriors that may have this issue without us knowing about it.

Thanks for that Info. For 150 metres to 250 metres what DB strength in 5.8ghz directional antennas would you suggest. As using the omnis i have found ( by using the scanning technique ) that the wireless networks cant see each other so i have decided to take your advice with directional antennas but...

Thanks for the reply. So you are saying 5.5 db omnis will be fine for a backhaul using 70mw cards. The last thing is how do you check that the access points can see each other. Will 5.5 Omni antennas make the distance based on the 400mw cards.
Also how do you test if they are making the distance and that there is a good signal strength
