Есть возможность запускать приложения при обработки события и передавать параметры. Параметров не очень много и само собой приложение запускается локально, но никто не мешает этому приложению(например, если это будет ssh) ходить на удалённый сервер и запускать что-то там. Или локально запускать sqlc...

there is no such feature in dude. You, probably, can create some bash(or whatever) script, that will query every device, get every port MACs, and interpretent info. Not seem to be ease, huh :)

What is CMI module? Some time device, connected to LAN? Your dude on other PC in LAN?
If so, maybe during discovery Dude open some ports on CMI, and CMI stale waiting continue of that conversation, which Dude can't give to him?

There is no such feature. You can move you log files by script in windows sheduller. Also, you can send all your events to syslog on other(or same) host, which will be write it to any location you want.

there is not such feature, but you can make fake Probe/Function, which will always be "Discovered" on new device, then will go down on first probe, send you notification.
And then, you will need to remove that service from your new device manually.

You can put any value from any script in your snmpd.conf and represent it as OID. Then read thats oid from Dude.
If you can grab that values from you hardware in you OS - you can monitor it.
Try to google "snmp disk io" or something like that.

You can't assign failover, but you can set dependencies of you devices to you agents.

You need to create(if not already created) device, with same IP as agent, with (optional) one "Dude service" in it.

Sweetdude: Does your timeout interval work correctly? All my probes return result "Timeout" after 10 seconds of probing. Whenever i set timeout even to 24 hour, in both server, map and device settings. :(

If you want to auto layout your devices by layer 2 - that's will not happen :( Dude created for Wireless networks, so there is no "Port Number" in first place.

on remote dude you only need to have admin user, which will be used to connect to remote dude, from parent server.

OID's not disabled, they greyed-out because snmpwalk did't find any snmp value from that class

your labels seems like to disappear because of get_snmp timeout or something like that.
you can try to manipulate all oid function parameters. Maybe it will help.

We have disappearing snmp data too.

you can't run it witout X, but you can run it with X framebuffer, without login(user) session.
And there is no plan from developers to port dude to *nix. Maybe wine will grow up sometime to fully support dude

Maybe you can disable some snmp parameters on cisco routers(don't know can it be done on cisco or not)

have anybody similar ideas to change data sources for graph appeared over link(when pointing cursor on it)? It's pretty cool to add new graphs on devices, just by adding appropriate custom service! But link graphs get only one standard interface OID, and i can't figure out how to change it

there is no OS auth, for example

if you wish to grant access to any random user you can create read only admin with simple name/password. 1 and 1 for example

i was confused before, because my Dude server was on win2000, and there is some problems.

Like some times hanging client "Copy" and "Paste" buttons. After press "Copy" "Paste" button just remain be gray(not active). It can be cured by restarting client.

Can i clone "Probe"?

I need to create several similar probes(differs only in one oid number). There is a "Copy/Paste" buttons in Probes menu, but they seem doesn't work. Is there a text in some files with Probes descriptions, or any cli commands to automate this process somehow? Usually i wrote script, that ge...
