Re: WI-FI ROAMING 802.11r QUESTION

I used layer2 mesh plus WDS with ROS,it works and the ping will be lost 2~15 pakcets when switch over from one AP to another AP,after I changed the hwmp-prep-lifetime to 1s.And I think if there are many APs inside the mesh domain, the mesh signaling traffic will be high heavy. And I also tested the m...

Re: Shift frequency 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz to 17 GHz: RF Multiplier

I made a transverter to make WiFi working on VHF spectrum (240MHz) with TX power 3000mW.
But the performance seems no good, the coverage can reach 5Km but the bandwidth limit less than 500Kbps.
I cannot make anymore improvement after hard effort, then have to gave up.

Re: Shift frequency 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz to 17 GHz: RF Multiplier

hi, almost begs the question , how much would people pay for such an item :) If only we weren't so busy installing infrastructure+customers we would look into making small cost effective transverters. The design software we paid $20,000 some eyars back is getting a bit dusty as is the Infra red ref...

Re: 802.11n driver will be released soon?

In local market,I can get the 3x3 MIMO MiniPCI card with about USD25 and it works on MAX. 300Mbps. 300 Mbps for $25? I really don't think so. Maybe you meant $250 or 30 Mbps? Yes,$25 for 300Mbps miniPCI card, with atheros 5416 chipset. If you need PCI-E 802.11n broadcom card, should be cheaper more.
