Re: Mikrotik Wireless equipment at a frequency of 6-6.2 GHz

Mikrotik will top out at 6.1GHz using superchannel on some 5GHz cards. Not sure how legal it would be to use this though.

Here is another one to add to the list. Same manufacturers as the Stationbox, but the case looks a little tidier.

Ok, I must know what was the hardware used to achieve the 100+ Mbs TCP full duplex Wireless N link shown during the introduction for ROS v5. Had to at least been a board with GigE nics. What kind of processor? Standard routerboard? What kind of wireless card?

Re: New wireless protocol: Nv2 in v5.0beta5

I agree, I like mikrotik as well. Cooperation would be splendid. On different note, I changed over my 802.11n wds ptp link to nv2, and lost remote connectivity. I switch it back and everything goes back to normal. I think this might be due to it not supporting wds in this mode. Does anyone know a qu...

Re: 802.11n

Just curious. What are the max pps people are seeing with various boards. i.e. 411ah, 433ah, 600, 800. Just want to see how the cpu power and ram impact the ability of these types of connections pump out the packets. I gather that on a solid link one could see 90 to even 100 mb/s tcp using the board...

Any news on the release of this product? I also remember Normis hinting at a sweet rb750 type board. possible built in 802.11a/b/g/n radio, mmcx, gige, low cost. It would be nice to have something like this to pop in an enclosure and...voila!, powerful client. :D

Re: RouterOS v4.10 released

I would like to comment on this latest release. I have been fairly impressed with what 4.10 has done for my pair of 802.11n nstream ptp links. I also have recently deployed a 5GHz sector and am running v4.10 with 5 clients and counting with good quality, throughput etc.. On the other hand I have a t...

I wish there was a cheap antenna for MIMO which I could use with RB411 and R52N/R52Hn for clients. Maybe the results would be better then.

For 5Ghz there is this from arc wireless that isn't too bad on cost.http://www.streakwave.com/Itemdesc.asp? ... 88&eq=&Tp=

Re: 802.11n

with 802.11n you are apparently much better off using an mpls/vpls tunnel as opposed to wds. I am curious what kind of results you get as you are using rb 600s. I am wondering if my own bandwidth limitations I am seeing is not because of the fact that I am using 411AH boards.

Re: Max clients per Sector

We just installed a customer literally a stones throw from the tower. In order to get the tx ccq to stabilize around 90% we had to limit the the data rates down to 24. The tower only has 2 customers on it so far, the noise floor is -101, the signal on tx/rx is 54/55. Is that normal? Is a lower trans...

Re: 802.11n

So I have 2 RB411AH w/r52Hn connected on the bench. Using the the bandwidth test from each device I can achieve 45-50 Mbit/s fdx tcp, and about 90-100 Mbit/s fdx udp. When I put a pc on each and and run jperf i can only achieve roughly 30 Mbit/s Hdx tcp. Anyone else seeing these sort of things?

Re: Can't get R52N to do 40MHz

I’ve read a lot of negative comments on the R52N cards but I actually managed to configure it to work. It is a 7km link with link connection of rx243mb/tx243mb. It fluctuates a bit between 160mb-243mb but I’m completely happy with it and impressed. The voice applications are also working 100% with ...

Why have the switch at all? I ask this as I am dealing with a similar issue that I have been unable to resolve yet. I have a RB 111/112 that I have tried to upgrade via NetInstall and it sees it just fine, but the upgrade doesn't begin.
