Re: Need to hire script consultant

Thanks to all that submitted the security profile script, lots of good folks here. But none of the emails we received addressed the dynamic SSID incorporating a portion of the serial number.

Re: Monitor Ethernet port

Have you thought of using ping to monitor if the device is active or not? Also if the device is directly connected to an interface of mikrotik you can check with a script if the interface on witch the device is attached is running or not with the command: /interface ethernet get "interface_name" ru...

Monitor Ethernet port

We have a device that pulls a DHCP IP but is not SNMP capable. So we thought a work around might we could monitor the ethernet port on a Mikrotik router to make sure it is active with the device connected. If the connected device losses power we would want to know that it is no longer connected. Is t...

RB411 ether1 not passing data

Connected to the ether 1 port is the poe. We can only access the RB via serial cable. Once logged in everything looks OK just no data through the ether 1 port. We have tested the cables by swapping out the board, so its not in the cables. We tried disabling and enabling the port still doesn't work. ...

Changing hotspot user profiles

I have 300 users in our hotspot. They are all set to default profile. I am trying to find a way to change users 100 through 200 to a different profile named - "basic" - without having to click on each one in winbox. Is there someway easier in console? Frustrated trying to type one command to change ...

Clients with Static IPs in a Hotspot deployment

We are trying find a solution that allows clients in a hotel to connect to the Hotspot when they have a static ip already set on their wireless interface / card. This would allow them to connect regardless of the IP scheme they have. I'm guessing it has something possible with the Hotspot DHCP IP be...

Netinstall stalling

I searched the previous posts and tried all their suggestions. But hanging up at Waiting for Drivers. I burned the 3.14 ISO to a thumb drive. The computer boots to the USB first. I started Netinstall on another computer on the same subnet. Gave the client computer in Netinstall Net booting configura...
