Web Proxy HTTP_VIA Header Not Always Accurate

With web proxy enabled, a new connection will show a HTTP header value for HTTP_VIA of: 1.1 10.5.50.1 (Mikrotik HttpProxy) If I move to a machine plugged into eth2, and get assigned an IP address in the 10.5.60.x network (with gateway of 10.5.60.1), and connect to a website which outputs the HTTP_VI...

Re: Automatic RoS reboot at a specifit time

I too can confirm this reboot issue when testing on a benched RB450G. I set watchdog to reboot when ping fails. To emulate ping failure I simply remove the network source. Watchdog often reboots 2-3 times just fine, then shuts the router down on the 3rd or 4th. Log always states "watchdog cannot poi...

Re: BGP full table Large CPU usage on rb1000 3.22

For the first time we've attempted to bring in a full route via bgp4 on a RB1100 using 4.10. 100% pegged CPU for as long as 30 minutes for connect or disconnect of BGP. Winbox doesn't disconnect, but it sure does take significantly longer to arrange the routes than a 350Mhz Cisco with half the power...

Re: [SOLVED] Hotspot: How to re-authenticate....

It seems this user's issue never got resolved and he ended up going to a different product. We are having the same issue. Example, and real-life scenario: 1. User connects, MT attempts freeradius auth using MAC, it fails 2. User pays their bill, or signs up for service, now the MAC is available in f...

Hotspot Authentication on Fixed Wireless

So using the hotspot service for a "hotspot" where wireless network cards are directly connecting to the AP has turned up no troubles. The software works great. Taking this to the next level and turning on the hotspot service for the segment handling the fixed wireless customers is my goal. This seg...

Re: Hotspot MAC + User Authentication Timing Issue

How is the MAC address entered into radius? I had a similar issue, make sure the username and password is the MAC address. We use external authentication with freeradius and all we require is the MAC sent as the username; however, i'm pretty certain the problem is not with radius. Radius is returni...

Hotspot MAC + User Authentication Timing Issue

I'm experiencing a slightly aggravating issue with one of our deployments. We're setup with a basic hotspot point, hotspot is configured for MAC and HTTP PAP and authenticates via Radius. If a MAC is entered into radius, and a matching MAC attempts to connect via a web browser, the MAC radius reques...
