Re: Dude 4.0 beta 1+2 and "\"

Hi,

Of course it is not a big problem. But if I had the choice to change all my affected functions/probes, or wait for a corrected version. I will choose no. 2 ;-)

Re: Dude 4.0 beta 1+2 and "\"

Hi,

Due to no answers, I am not sure if I am the only one with this problem. If not, it would be good to know if Mikrotik will work on this, so that all functions/probes from version 3.* are fully compatible with 4.*. In this case, I will wait with upgrading for the next version ;-)

Dude 4.0 beta 1+2 and "\"

Hi, I made an update from version 3.6 to 4.0 beta2 and some functions give back "parse error". The same I also had with beta1 in the past. Now I found the time to made some investigations. It seems that the new versions of 4.0 do have problems with text elements included a backslash. For example: if...

Simply create a batch with your commandline and add "pause" at the end.

Re: Function for find if a process exists

Hi Paul, Now I made some more investigations and I had to correct myself. There is a difference between array_find() and string_find(). Array_find() gives back the line number starting with 0, string_find() gives back the position number also starting with 0. With array_find() it seems only to be po...

Re: Function for find if a process exists

Hi,

I'm already not sure if I completely understand what you want to do. But if you like to search for "C:" in your OID string, maybe the following line will help you:

if(string_find(oid_column("1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3",600),"C:")<>4294967295, "ok", "not found")

Hi,

I agree with johnRBB. In the past I also had to remange my maps and "lost" data with copy/paste. Not a big problem, but it would be nice if there where a cut/paste function also.

As a little suggestion for future Dude releases ;-)

Hi, @windfall: In my case the disk check for free space in GB works good. I am also a little bit confused about the "Re" what you get. Try to give back more characters with the following Error line in the probe: if((((((oid("1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.5.2")-oid("1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.6.2"))*oid("1.3.6.1.2....

Re: Function for find if a process exists

Hi, To return the first character of a value use the function string_substring (in the description of the function, you will get information about the parameter setting) for example: string_substring(oid("1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.3.1"),0,1) gives back the first character of the above OID value. Re: Function for find if a process exists

Hi,

As far as I know, unfortunately it is not possible to use parameters in functions or probes (but I don't know the new ver. 3.1). In some cases I use the custom fields to manage it. You get the content of custom field 1 with "device_property("CustomField1")".

It is possible. I did it with the Sysinternals tool pslist.exe and the execute function from the Dude. Probe name in function

Hi, Is there any way to use the Probe name in functions? My idea is to write only one function for checking the HDD space of all discs (not many probes for each disc like shown in the probe thread). Which disc to check is in the probe name (f.e. "Disc 1"). With the functions "oid" and "string_substr...
