you update from v6.x on various step to v7.x???
if yes, netinstall the last 7.4.1 without using the .backup but importing the .rsc section by section.
Hmm no die upgrade from 6.47/8… do i get the rsc file with export function?

any clues maybe on how one can get cake not to reboot(kernel panic) a ccr1009? lowered mem usage(1mb) and seems to be stable with few queues enabled(20) but anything more and it keeps restarting.

April fools is coming around again...they havent even confirmed that they working on v7 as far as i can see... but hopefully one of these days... Edgemax is taking over in some cases...but i find that mikrotik is easier to configure ...

Did you seem to get the problem fixed? Im having same issue but mine runs for a few hours then has kernal failure and then reboots 4 or 5 times...then runs a few hours again...dont understand.

attached if the current queue tree that im using. when i have the games queue disabled it doesnt affect the ping so much. Question is will it still affect the latency if there isnt any limit on any of the queues on core routers???current queues only get limited on edge routers not on core routers?? ...

Very funny preliminary tests show that 5.24 is working ..so far... dont have same issues with throughput. this is now with a stock default config and i just loaded my mangles which basicly just mark ports to go to one gateway. with same setup on v6 it didnt do half the throughput???. Look at your network interfaces. Did they auto-negotiate the right speed and duplex? Do you have any error counters incrementing on RX or TX? Can you describe what throughput you get on the x86 vs the 2011? It is on auto negotiate... i just had a look and i dont see any tx or rx errors. Well straig...

Guys have any of you had a issue yet were a rb 2011 seems to be performing better than a x86 machine??? i have a 6 port x86 machine and for some reason i cant seem to get better performance out of it....reason why i want to go over to the x86 hardware is that it has a ssd in it and alot more process...

K so i have had a look in the bios disabled ctech and hyper threading. On x86 l1 mtu is set to 1500 l2 mtu is set to 9014 and cant be changed. on rb2011 mtu set to 1500 l2 mtu 1598 max I have also checked and all my other rbs and wireless units are all set to 1500 mtu. Hallo Guys i imported one of those 6 port x86 servers from china with the idea to have it do all the number crunching. What happens though is that when ever i put the exact setup on it...it seems to slow down tremendously and i cant seem to get the same performance out of it compared to a my rb2011?...

Im having same issue...my one marks the connection fine but when you check it still goes through default route even though its connection mark...output ...routingmark ...

It doesnt want to use that route. ANy ideas ??/ I have tried taking passthrough off but doesnt make any diffrence.

OK guys after sitting for 3 days with this i figured it out....jippy. One needs to have the 2 wan interfaces and the lan interface on diffrent ip ranges . this enables you to route the traffic correctly.
