Don't forgett most g products have much less output power so if distance is high you
are better with 802.11b than g. Don't use mixed mode use either g or b only!!

I don't know if it is true but I have found some time ago while I was investigating this question
the following statement:

Vertical polarization is better for long distance links because
ground attenuate signal in horizontal polarization in long range!

Ip I have found 2 totally different formulas for earth curvation (apart from taking effectiv earth radius against "normal" earth radius). I'm pretty confused which one is right. Eff. eaerth radius against earth radius is not "soo much" the difference but the other stuff is pretty different. Now the ...

Did I miss something? The problem is not the fresnelzone it is the earth radius. The earth radius at a distance of 240km is about 4500m the fresnel zone of about 86m you can forgett it but what about the radius? As I understand you must have an tower of 4604m IF the 2 points are on the same heigth. ...

Distance almost the same? FSL of 5.8GHZ is about 5-8dbm more than 2.4GHz and 6dbm more is the doble of the distance ... If you have have good pigtials and cables the losses are almost the same at 2.4 GHz and 5.8GHz... So I would say the distance is about the half of 5.8GHz and 2.4GHz at least at the...

### 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz antennas using at same time possible?

Hello Is it possible to use 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz on the same tower, same height without inteferencies or does the 2.4GHz harmonics disturb the 5.8GHz signal? Idea is to put an 15dbi 2.4GHz omni with one AP and 12dbi 5.8GHz omni with an other AP seperated about 1.2m ath same height. Has anyone experienc...

acid I have the same problem as you with same specifications. Do you have bought antennas from hyperlink? Pigtail too (U-fl to N-type)? I think now the pigtail is the problem. I have a loss of 21dbm between calculations and reality and this at 4.5m. I have changed the 22dbi with a 3db duck (so I hav...
