Re: rb711-5Hn-u.FL not upgrading it's firmware

First I've tried it via Winbox (from Sytem > Routerboard > Upgrade) but after the reboot I noticed that it stayed on 2.29 Then I tried via New Terminal with \system routerborad upgrade It asked me if I want to upgrade, I answered 'Yes' It said that 'Firmware upgraded successfully, please reboot for ...

rb711-5Hn-u.FL not upgrading it's firmware

I just bought a RB711-5Hn-u.FL and it came with ROS v.4.14 I've upgrade it to ROS v.5.5 and all went fine. But when I try to upgrade it's firmware from v.2.29 to v.2.35 (2.35 is on ROS v5.5) although it says that the upgrade was successful and prompts me to reboot the router, when I reboot the route...

Re: [3.23x86][system]system health bug

Is there a list of motherboards that are supported?

Or, at least, is there something we should look for when buying a motherboard so it works?

Re: Upgrade to 3.14 & XEN - System boot error -3.17 no luck

as i wrote in another xen topic - xen + wifi is fixed in 3.18 so i am still wondering why to use 3.17 or any other version if you want to use XEN.
My apologies janisk, I didn't notice you ware referring to 3.18 in your previous post.

I'll give it a try today or tomorrow and post the results.

Re: Upgrade to 3.14 & XEN - System boot error -3.17 no luck

@ janisk Same here, a P4 3.4GHz (Prescott M2 651) on an Asus P5GC (Chipset Nothbridge: Intel 945GC, Southbridge: Intel ICH7R, FSB 1333 MHz) with 1 Gb RAM and 7 CM9 Winstron WiFi cards. It's all fine with v 3.13 (running a second RouterOS on XEN) but I get kernel panic when tried 3.17 with the wifi c...

Re: Upgrade to 3.14 & XEN - System boot error -3.17 no luck

Can someone from MikroTik confirm that the XEN needs to have a VT compatible CPU to function?

The funny this is that on 3.13 it works fine without a VT enabled CPU.

Re: Upgrade to 3.14 & XEN - System boot error -3.17 no luck

it is not much chip-set as it is CPU supported features.
You mean that the CPU has to have VT..?

Re: Upgrade to 3.14 & XEN - System boot error -3.17 no luck

I have v3.13 installed currently handling 7 WiFi connections. All of my cards are Winstron CM9 and the RouterOS is running on a P4 3GHz with 512 RAM from a hard disk. I also run a guest RouterOS via XEN to just handle all of my VPN connections. Yesterday I've tried to upgrade the system to v 3.17......

RouterOS v 3.17 and XEN

I've tried looking around for this but couldn't find something similar, so here it goes. I have v3.13 installed currently handling 7 WiFi connections. All of my cards are Winstron CM9 and the RouterOS is running on a P4 3GHz with 512 RAM from a hard disk. I also run a guest RouterOS via XEN to just ...
