Did you enable firewall on your winbox service on your BGP Mikrotik router?

or you just set the known address?

From my understanding if we enabled the ip firewall filter, all the ipv4 fast path would not be utilised?

issue resolved.

The problem was i did a backup and restore to another unit.

I was not aware that backup and restore would copied all the previous unit mac address as well.

Otherwise I am thiking to use 2x10G setup bonding and create 2 vlans 1 for BGP facing and 1 for Server facing

I have about 100Mbps bandwidth and has about 5 web servers.

I want to always allocate 10Mbps fixed for these 5 web servers and the rest of the 90Mbps can be used by other servers/office/internet

i found a simple way

on master i added

/routing bgp peer enable 0
/routing bgp peer enable 1

on backup i added

/routing bgp peer disable 0
/routing bgp peer disable 1

It works beautifully :)

I have managed to set it all up but I am thinking to disable the BGP peers when the CCR is a backup VRRP member.

I am wondering if anyone has such script or could share with me how to disable bgp peers when a mikrotik is a backup VRRP member?

We are using x86 Mikrotik with 8 Cores CPU.

The CPU Load is very little during the peering.

Is it a known bug that it would caused such problem?

I am not sure if that question was for me but I am planning to run Clustering on the Vyatta for this pair of router and if one fail, the other would take over the BGP session.

Dear Members

I have 2 Peers each with same amount of transit

I have 4 /24 prefix

I would like to configure that for the 4 prefix outbound, it would be round robin on these 2 peers and if one of the peer is down, all 4 prefixes would switch to the survival peer.

Any help is appreciated

We are running v4.11 and multi homed with 2 providers.

currently when I did a traceroute from a 3rd network, I have noticed that BGP is not sending our the traffic to the best path.
