Do you want to talk to friendly professionals or edgy hackers potentially gangsters?

We also have this problem. We can try idle-timeout 60 seconds on the profile however this is not ideal at all.

We should use one session per host setting and each client to come with his own MAC.

When you bridge - put in filters for dhcp in the bridge (forward).

Put your own DHCP server on the bridge interface itself.

Put more filters (output) not to allow your own DHCP onto someone else's network (where that other DHCP that you are alredy blocking is).

Simple.

Ensure Layer 2 connectivity to the interface that the HotSpot is running on.

VLANs and Bridges is cleaner than EoIP and bridges.

If you bridge stuff on Layer 2 - put filters on the bridge so that the separate L2 segments talk to the HotSpot only and not to eachother over that bridge.

LLQ is a marketing word nowadays, that Ethernet best-effort is so awesome.

If you experience some problem it probably is elsewhere - for example - upstream.

When the sniffer is Running on that interface - in my case RB450G eth5 - the rx drops are not counted - probably the interface is not in promiscuous mode by default and the counter counts every frame not for itself.

OpenWRT/latest (has Codel) sounds REALLY COOL and totally awesome - everyone should try it :)
