it happens on real traffic in peek hours of traffic.
Not related to total traffic but seems related to connections/traffic parameters

dealing with this issue since a coupple of weeks ago.

ospfv3 default route not installed

we have configured the core router to redistribuite Default Route as type 1 using ospfv3 to an edge router.

on the edge we see the default router into the ospfv3 routes but it is not installed into the main ipv6 routing table.

You can see the behavior on the image.

The NASPORT value reported in radius by MT is completely wrong.

In regular package it is the snmp index of the pppoe-client interface
Now it is completely not useful.

We need it to be reported correctly.

like any other v6 on x86 when you change eth (82574L) name or queue type the router loose all the vrrp interface and became instable and need a reboot.

If the changes are made on interfaces without traffic the problem doesn't happen. It seem related to some interroupt problem.

everyhting seems related to ethernet chipset and multicore.

My advice is to still user RPS on the ethernet with more traffic and disable MDI-X on the ethernet ports.

we are having the same ethernet freze on rb435g. When the eth frezzes we can access the rb by wireless interface and the freezed eth is reported connected but no traffic goes through. Enabling conncetion tracking seems to reduce the freeze issue from some hours to some days but it is not a real fix....

we stated to complain with MT since 6-7 months ago about the NV2 in PtMP where it is slower then Nstreme of about 35%.

no real answer from MT.

we note this beavior when the signal is better than -60. Infact in some cases when you use nstreme or nv2 with 2 chain we get the links disconnecting time to time.
Using only one chain woraround the problem (if you don't need high bandwidth).
or lower the power on both side to have -65.

my advice is to have both protocols running at same time.

So you can monitor ospf and fine tune it if your network is very huge.

nice thing nv2 support 300mbps data rate on dual chain.

nstreme (v1) uses a better HT data rate when i select advanced data rate, but at stability cost of the link when there is an high load.

Another 7.5km link with N, non-nstreme and vpls was working fair under 4.5. Now under 5.0b2, much better. It calculated the distance at 9km. bug in ping windows,
the scrolling is not working and some time there is a wrong report of the percentage of the packet sent.

About wireless and N it is still needed WDS to have the best performance ever.
Using nstreme+N it is not working as good as nstreme+N+wds

we tested 4.7 on RB800 and it is shoing high latency on high load using plain station mode without bridge;

At the moment the best config for us is 5.0beta1 and EXE's config (station-wds).

it is not useful to show the bandwidth test in this psot. Because the problem of N links are not evident using bandwidth test. They arise when using real traffic with small packets. Actually 5.0beta1 didn't fix our isse with this kind of traffic. Still see a very huge jitter with latency of 20-40ms ...

i tried packing but doesn make any difference,

please post the supout to MT asasp so they will improve the routing.

We are still quite a bit far a way from competitor but they are improving it.

Still see 100% load whenever I change the filter applied to bgp peers and slowness charging and distributing the fullroute.

very very promising.

Tested only on mipsle.
Higher CPU usage and this is a nice thing for wireless customers.....

we tested the new package on two misple 532 and it is fine. One AP have 44 clients and another 30. In both cases the new package performed better them the regualr one. The latency when down from 40-60ms in the first cast o 6-10ms. BUT but the jitter is still here, in fact it does several ping to 6-1...

I have upgraded to 3.15 and I am running it for about a week, and I don't see this problem, I have about 50 Users. I monitor interfaces and users get the speed that they have in PPPoE profiles.

when I see the problem we have also another problem: - little packet loss or increased jitter (for all the pppoe client) at the moment a new pppoe itnerface is added. This bug seems fixed in an earlier version but it seems to be present again when an user is able to go over the wueue limit. regards ...

the best way is to contact MT to give them the access to the pppoe server to install the debug package.

I at the moment could not give this possibility so any help from the community is welcomen.

we too see zero bandwidth on queue and realspeed on the pppoe interface.
pushing to reauthenticating the customer fix the issue.

So during the day we are going to be the queue cop!!!! very annoing.

RouterOS 3.13v + x86 not solved , the problem still lives .... unfortunately :(
very disappointed!!!!

we fight each day with invalid queue. They are the oldest but very annoing to catch.

it is still a great bug MT MUST FIX ASAP.

you need two extra boxes.
one to convert e1 to ip, and onther one about ip to e1.

The hardware you need is RAD Communications ipmux4 with one e1. (costs around 600usd on ebay)

i think the discovery path is the following: 1. MT says: there isn't any problem; 2. MT says: we tested your configuration and didn't find anything; after dozen mails and supout.... 3. MT says it is a kernel issue after months of posting.............. 4. MT says we will fix it. I hope MT will fix it...

We have some packetloss with version 3.7 and Intel Gigabit NIC. I don´t know if with Broadcom is worst but we have this problem with Intel (PCI or PCI-E).
Is it a multi-cpu box or an old fashion single core?

sure!

we have around 1200 on the intel gbit interfaces router and they are fine.
around 400 on the broadcom tigon and we are experiencing some little packet loss.......

same identical configuration to both machines. Supout sent two day ago to support.

100 is a very small number.

I am running 3.2 on a dell poweredge860 without any issue.

There are two issues to be aware:
1. you have to disable the multi-cpu, because it is still unstable at kernel level;
2. you don't have to use the L7 filter, it is still unstable causing the crash of the router.

we are running nstream-dual with rc13 on rb333.

After a long period of fine tuning af the link we are very stable now.
