Re: CRS226-24G-2S+ issue - hangs

I have this exact issue on a crs210 and when replaced with new it's still occuring. Every week or so the switch will randomly stop passing traffic, some traffic will still pass approximately 5% of the normal traffic volume, access to the switch via win box is never a problem and always works fine a ...

chr with proxmox is a disaster, I've been attempting for a year now lol. Few things to try; PCI Passthrough Try ovs instead of linux bridges Try vmxnet3 instead of virtio Have you tried RouterOS v7 ? It has newer drivers with multi-queue support. I've been considering this, but given all of the fea...

Proxmox + CHR poor performance (nic / driver?)

Baltic Vengeance 2 & 3 routers tested (i7-8700k + i9-9900k) using proxmox 6.3, tested both xl710 and 82599ES using multiqueue in proxmox and vitio drivers, performance is fine until about 2-3 gbps , I also tried rps off / on as well as multi-queue interface queues, all of the results are similar...

Re: Bandwidth not crossing 2.4Gbps in Mikrotik CHR

What Level CHR license are you using?

P1 License allows only for 1GB per interface.
Unlimited CHR license, this seems to be related to possibly proxmox/kvm implementation of the driver, or possibly a chr driver?

Throughput issue goes away with PCI Passthrough...

Re: /32 blackhole redistribute between bgp instances

I was actually thinking about this, I'm glad you mentioned it. Do you use your normal (external) AS# for Fastnetmon's connection to your router? I'm guessing yes otherwise you need a second instance? I have fastnetmon setup and upon detection of ddos it sends /32 with 65001:666 via bgp to my CHR, I ...

I have fastnetmon setup and upon detection of ddos it sends /32 with 65001:666 via bgp to my CHR, I have FNM setup as a peer with it's own instance but for some reason the route doesn't seem to show when I run /routing bgp advertisements print peer=MYPEER so I'm assuming I have something in the conf...

See this HA script for inspiration;

My ccr is giving me a minimum version of 6.35.4, do you have any idea if this will work instead of 6.35? I can netinstall but I'm afraid of bricking it.

So you were seeing the same behavior?

$1000 REWARD CCR1036 w/ vlans traffic dropping for a second

I recently upgraded from a CCR1009 to a CCR1036, during the upgrade I took my ISP connections (2) and my backhauls (2) and trunked them through a 10g switch in/out of the CCR. (previously everything was assigned/sitting directly on the physical interfaces) upon installation I've noticed for the last...

Yes I'm aware of all the alternate options but I'm just confused why the 1009 has dual psu but the 1036 does not, so stupid. Then initially they included a second psu header then later removed it but left the circuitry to support a header and second psu now they have removed the circuity and I bet t...

welcome to the dead CCR1009 club, you are member #422. Although Mikrotik support will not acknowledge any problems with CCR1009. Mine arrived dead inside of the box. Several of my friends have experienced the same thing (6-20 hours before failure). This has all been on the 1S+ model for us
