Question on HWMP+ and VLANs

I tend to over think and confuse myself and I think I have been successful in doing this again. I have been playing with HWMP+ and have several 9 to 10 radio mesh network running fine. What I am trying to figure out is I have a customer that requires a dual mesh setup. One secured for a sales applic...

PPC & the Dude

I am in real need of v4beta3 for the PPC line of Routerboards. I have several mesh network instalalations to do and I will need to run the Dude Agent on the RB1100AHx2. Part of the maintenance contract is to monitor the mesh radios. Is there a time frame for when v4beta3 will be working on the PPC?

Re: us 3.65GHZ

We are using the XR3.7 as well. The only thing that the FCC was interested in was the radio card and antenna. The only snag we had was that foreign border facing antennas have to be 56K away in a 180 degree arc. We’re in Toledo and hit the Canadian border by.2K in the middle of Lake Erie; we made so...

MCT,
They do seem to be strange little beasts; they either work forever or fail quickly.

Thanks Normis,
Is there any chance of wetting our appetite with some insight about the new products?

Is anyone using fiber optics on a Routerboard

I have a lot of special needs clients (should tell you something right there). Many of our customers have equipment colocated with us and want to use the wireless as a sort of backup point to point connection to their racks. Not a big deal, we VLAN the traffic and run a cable to our NOC, life is goo...

Re: RouterOS 5 beta

I have been doing some testing with 5.0beta4 and have had great success. I see a definite speed improvement in testing especially on the upload side. To give some background we have always been a Cisco shop, but I have been working hard to change the views of my colleagues. Little by little we are c...

Re: 100% cpu

I have the same problem. I have a 450G running ROS 4.10 and acting as a Dude Agent running 3.6 of the Agent. The 450G is reporting the CPU at 100% on the main Dude server and in the resources of Winbox, but in Winbox the CPU graph in the upper right corner shows very little utilization. The problem ...

RB433 with 2 Ubiquiti XR radios and indoor case

I wasn’t sure which forum to post this and I’m sure that this has come up before but here goes. I have an RB43AH with one Ubiquiti XR2 and one Ubiquiti XR5 installed. My problem is with the thickness of the XR radios one radio has to be installed in the bottom mini PCI slot and one radio in the top....

Re: User Manager 5.0beta Sign up pages

Thanks skordan!
I was trying to get there by using the http://routerip/user?signup=publicID
the http://routerip/user/signup method works. Kind of strange though; I couldn't get to it using either method from outside the hotspot, until I accessed from inside the hotspot.

User Manager 5.0beta Sign up pages

I was wondering if any one has had a chance to look at the new 5.0 User manager. I have been playing with it and love what I see, but it seems incomplete. I have created profile and limitation along with pricing. I can add a user through the http://router ip/userman web interface, but I cannot get t...

Re: 4.6 broken packages?

I've been using 4.5 for a while now and it works great, but I like to test before I deploy on production equipment. That's why I was trying to upgrade, but I haven't had any luck upgrading to 4.6. Other people seem to be ok, I'm wondering if it is the US site that is the problem. If I connect a cons...

Re: RouterOS v4.6 released

I'm getting the broken package error as well! I've tried both the 400 series and the Intel / AMD versions and I get the same error on both machines. I am downloading with http from the US site. I've tried it from a web browser and using the fetch command. There are several threads with other people ...

Re: HELP ASAP! Live tower will not upgrade to 4.6

Thats interesting that a few seem to be working, because I've tried both the 400 series and the Intel/AMD versions and I can't get either machine to upgrade. I have tried downloading from the USA site with a browser and also doing a fetch. The packages download fine, but after rebooting the logs say...

I have the same problem. I tried downloading it with torrent but torrent seems to hang after about 52%. I've downloaded both the 400 series and the Intel/AMD multiple times and get the same message on the PC and on a 450G " system, error broken package". I tried both http download from a browser and ...

Re: Ability to edit User Manager pages?

Am I missing something?? I installed 4.5 on my PC and I still don't see away to edit pages or add custom logos. One of the wiki pages said to create a directory called umfiles, upload your logo file then go to User Manager Customer web page go to Settings and you specify a link to your uploaded logo...

Dumb question about pigtails

I know this is probably a dumb question, but I need to ask anyway. I am trying to put together some indoor radios using the XR2 and the 411 board, but I’m having problems finding a source for pigtails. What I want is a right angle MMCX for the XR2, and an RP TNC Female bulkhead connector for a rubbe...

The Mikrotik router will have a management IP of 10.10.10.80. The CPE will have 10.10.1.6/30 the VLAN will terminate into a layer 3 switch which will have 10.10.1.5/30. There is no vlan on the actual CPE. The customers router will have a routable IP a /30 the gatway for this will be the second addre...
