This means that when you set your radio card to transmit with 20dB, the real power is 25dB.

For data-rates i would recommend using 1Mb for 802.11b, and 6,18,24 for 802.11g. For channel selection, you can use some tools inside mikrotik like frequency-usage, snopper, scan. Your calculations are right, but you need to look at sxt datasheet and see what is the tx-power for mcs-15. The max tx-power (25dB) is the aggregated power from the two tx-antennas for mcs0, so for your calc, you need to remove 3db from the tx-power. From my calc, with distance of 5170m and 5,6Ghz y...

I would recommend doing a system reset, remove default config.

Re: Engenius 802.11AGB EMP-8603 with RBs work?

Hi, and if anyone needs no now the correct tx power, don't forget to add the offset of 7dB for 5Ghz or 9dB for 2,4Ghz to get the real power. Hi, what's this? What I have to use in TX Power tables to get (in 2.4GHz) 100mW, 200mW, 400 or 600 mW? Isn't the same as with the other cards? Hi Martin, Firs...

Re: What is WDS limitaiton with Wireless N

Due to how 802.11n technology works (some of it's features), it doesn't cooperate with WDS technology so well, this causes the throughput to be lower, this is why you can use other ways described in the Wiki Hi all, Normis, why mikrotik wds on 802.11n has low bandwidth, but with ubnt airmax devices...

Re: Engenius 802.11AGB EMP-8603 with RBs work?

Hi, I have 2 EMP-8603 with RB411 working on a link with 14Km between 2 islands and works smoothly. They are up since January. No problems until now. I must say that they have passed through several thunderstorms and are still working well so, yes, they are good options, and if anyone needs no now th...

Re: base station reboots frequently

Hi,
I had a problem similar to yours, and the way i solved was to add the hotspot mac to the arp list of the access point and then change the arp on the bridge of the access point to reply-only.
Now its working well.

Kindly regards,

Jorge

Re: Does not crash but does not work

Hi, i had similar problem, and until now i didnt found what was the cause.
The only way i have found was to add my mac to the arp table, and put the bridge arp in "reply-only".

Until now it´s working well.
btw, version 3.27, rb411a with radio and ether1 on the bridge.

Regards,

Jorge

Re: Bonding 2 adsl for voip

What you need is mlppp.

http://www.mikrotik.com/download/Mikrotik_no010.pdf

Read a little bit of mlppp and ask your isp if they support it.

Re: How do load balancing 8 adsl modem?

Hi, In my opinion, you should use the adsl modems has modems, not has routers. Buy a 16port managed switch, create 8 vlans on the switch. Like (vlan100 "port 1 untagged and port 9 tagged"), (vlan101 "port 2 untagged and port 9 tagged"), etc... until you have all the 8 vlans. Then...
