Re: Trying to setup Groove A 2-Hn

Hi Normis I have done a bit of playing around myself with this Groove, altered the wireless protocol that was setup in quickset from 'Nv2 nstreme 802.11' to only 802.11. The lights suddenly work, signal strength from -65 to -61, actual throughput very little change, Tx/Rx rate only 5.5mbs/2mbs thoug...

Re: Trying to setup Groove A 2-Hn

Wellllllllllll, how easy is that normis???????? Thank you, in Australia we say, "I owe you a beer". I had to upgrade to 5.17, (your screen showed 5.18rc1). THEN and only then did I see Quickset. Or was/is there a bug in 5.11? All works OK, will go through the .rsc file to see any differences I may h...

Re: Trying to setup Groove A 2-Hn

Thanks again Hotz1, my application is to use the Groove as a wireless client, (set as Station). In the past I have always needed to set the firewall srcnat, out i/f wlan1, and masquerade. Like I hve said, I have checked again and again the settings of all RB's as clients, and applied the same settin...

Re: Trying to setup Groove A 2-Hn

Have taken that out Hotz1, no different.

I am not sure why you advised this, as all other client RB's need this to traffic data.

Thank you

I will need to update the v5 version to do a compact report. I see that is only available post 5.11

Re: Trying to setup Groove A 2-Hn

Yes, have setup as in all other ROS I have.

In desperation I have thought of uploading a setup from a RB411, but not yet.

Trying to setup Groove A 2-Hn

I am just launching into using some Groove 2's and don't seem to be able to route correctly. I have setup many RB411's as clients and RB433's as AP's, thought I had it down pat. Looking to using Grooves in lieu of Bullets and RB411's if these are as good as reported here. Setting up my first Groove ...

Yes will keep it on my calendar. But would be beter in a capital city, Australia isn't served very well to regional centres by air, for convenience.

RB600A, with 4 wireless cards

Am just setting up a new RB600 with 4 cards installed, but the interface list says Wlan1, wlan2, wlan2, wlan3. This will be very confusing for setting up. How do you do a factory reset? If this would help. All cards are RB52H. They are all able to be enabled. Any help please? edit Also, how does one...

Re: Lost connection, no beacons received

signal should be around -60 to be fine, but anyway, i'm not convinced that it's all of the problem. can you post some of the debug logs in their entirety ? Thank you normis. I am finding a great deal like you said. Tx end said 'not in ACL', so I copied the Rx end into the Access List. Same at the R...

Re: Lost connection, no beacons received

Your signal is too low, that's why the connection is dropping. Well, yes, but why have I many others even worse, up to -90 that will stay connected for days on end, even weeks, without a dropout? I have a -92 on average, that regulalrly transmits 1-2mb reliably 24/7, possibly with 1-2 reconnections...

Re: Lost connection, no beacons received

Righto', have got some logs that indicate that connectionwas lost, no beacons, then the wireless goes through a list of other signals from other AP's, but vastly different frequencies. Two of these are mounted on the same tower, 180° waveguides, 2462, and 2437 MHz, 3m higher. Another is 54km distant...
