Hi,

I think something like attach PPPoE interface to VPLS, then you can run public ip distribution.

Hotspot and new Google Chrome feature "Reduce data usage"

Hello, Recently, I discovery users can "jump" over the hotspot using Google Chrome Reduce data usage feature https://developer.chrome.com/multidevice/data-compression. As we're using google authentication, users can use this, that is becoming an issue for us because hotspot cannot detect i...

I think on get by API this values and subtract the actual Tx/Rx Bytes from PPPoE interface. I would ask if somebody has a be...

Re: problem in PPPOE authentication

Hi,

The problem is you have max-sessions=1, remove or evaluated because that allow just one pppoe session.

Re: Help! Auth users across multiple MTs RADIUS user-manger

I use a freeRadius server with mikrotik clients. When I receive the errror "unknown address" usually is that the address of the mikrotik client is not allowed (or defined) on the server for authentication. What IP are the mikrotik client uses to communicate to the Radius server? I think y...

Hi,

You can try checking if you enabled admin MAC on bridge; if it's enabled you must put some MAC that no cause conflit on all devices on bridge.

Re: PCC LB with advanced routing failover. NTP trouble.

Hi,

One alternative, at least in my scenario it works, so it's run a ntp server like http://www.openntpd.org/ and setup your RB as ntp client of this server on your own LAN.

I am very happy that we went with PPPoE. It allows me to manage the users speed, gather usage data and aids in troubleshooting connections. Also, many billing systems can be easily configured to display or bill based upon usage from the PPPoE connection and I have experienced that the PPPoE is a gr...

Re: Add DHCP leases to address-list

Hi dudes, just rigth now I probe with: /ip dhcp-server lease add address-list=listExample mac-address=XXXXXXXXXX address=10.x.x.x The result was, when the ip address is bound, dynamically it's add to address list. Well, now I'm worried, with this setup, Will it consume a lot of recourses? Thanks.
