Re: Feature Request: zerotier vpn

Adding my voice to the pile. It works great in allowing me to create a little ospf network (overkill but other reasons driving that atm) to allow me to access my remote LANs with ease. Granted I have a VM at the far ends with quagga and zerotier installed to the routing at this time. Having a packag...

Re: 6.30 RC final fixes before release

I had a issue with going from 6.30rc19 to 6.30rc22. My bridges disappeared. They came back after a edit and reboot though.

Also wireless-cm2 was not in the all arch zip for tile. Had to use:

PPTP connection failing for certain users

I have an odd case but I think I know what the problem might be but I want some outside opinions. I have a user that normally works from home and has no issues with the VPN connection. Today how ever he has gone to a customer location and is unable to connect. My first instinct is that he is behind ...

Re: [Feature Request] DNS Slave of a DNS Zone

I am not trying to shoot down your idea, I +1 it as well but wanted to make it be known of a possible solution if it wont be done.

Re: [Feature Request] DNS Slave of a DNS Zone

I think this other post kinda covers the feature?

http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php ... 07#p247145

Or a script I wrote maybe covers the feature?

Re: Grab interface usage and push online

I realize that it would be better to use SNMP to gather these stats but I do not have any local system setup for this in any way. Also the webserver is not a full on dedicated server, think shared hosting, only can load up php/cgi/perl scripts. I would use work resources to do this polling but I don...

Grab interface usage and push online

At this time this is a request/holding/research thread. With ATT launching network caps here in the next couple months I want to have something I trust more to check their numbers against. Goals: [*]Take ethernet 1 statistics and upload it to a webserver every 5 minute [*]If webserver responds with ...

Re: Conditional DNS forwarding

wow, did not even think of that... that seems like that should be a better solution.

Also should this thread not be moved to a different forum due to its not really a beta issue anymore?

Re: Conditional DNS forwarding

Here is a little run down on how to do this, the only thing left to do is to check what janisk says but im pretty sure this handles it decently enough. /ip firewall layer7-protocol add name=testdns regexp=lantest.mindlesstux.com /ip firewall nat add action=dst-nat chain=dstnat disabled=no dst-addres...

Re: Conditional DNS forwarding

I have not tested this, yet, but it should be possible to create a layer7 protocol that digs into the DNS packet and matches the domain. If the domain is matched then just silently redirect the packet to the proper dns server.

I will post again once I find time to craft and test this.

DNS server, servers update

I am not to good on intros to the subject so just bare with me. The setup we have 3 AD DCs that run DNS servers. I have the router referencing the AD DNS servers to help keep the world somewhat sane and all devices using the router for DNS. On occasion one or two of the AD DCs need to reboot (server...

Getting reports of this as well.

Also noting it looks like the torrents are not being seeded at all. Stuck at 50% all around.
