PPPoE Online Games

Hello All,

I have setup Mikrotik PPPoE server but many clients who play online games are complaining that the games are lagging and this only happens if they are PPPoE clients, anybody else got the same issue? could it be MTU related?

Thank you.

I want to quick fix my traffic is increasing over 1g, and its mostly incoming, between these routers what is best to use? balance rr/ the routers are 1100x4 and CCR and CCR and CCR1036. I tried balance rr and there were some jitters. not sure why could be cause of PPPoE. or bonding.

Re: My ISP is offering IPv6 through DHCP: how can I use it?

There is no NAT on ipv6, so you cannot nat that single IP you get from ISP, the ISP needs to route a /64 or better range to your router then you can configure that range to the pcs behind the router. I am not sure if there are any other way where you can connect the pc directly with ipv6.

for the AS no, you need to ask Arin, they would issue you an AS no, which should not take that long. The provider might be able to give you a private AS no. that should not take time as well.

+1 We need a stable release, then just patch up. As we cannot keep up with these patches, and making list of what works with one and what breaks with other. At the end will just have to stop upgrading, and stay with different version for different tasks.

post your firewall rules then somebody can help. Also try and post traceroute to the ms addresses. In the meantime if you have any other router non mikrotik, try and see if that works well ?
