Re: v6.43.7 [stable] is released!

Are there issues with DHCP Server not working after an upgrade like 6.34.4? We never heard back on that post and now the post is locked. Mikrotik support has ignored my emails for over a week on the issue we noticed with 6.34.4 and I'm wondering why. https://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=1...

Re: v6.43.4 [stable] is released!

We have experienced many issues with 6.43.4 and losing the DHCP server functionality. We recently upgraded 20 CCRs from 6.38/6.38.1 and on 4 of the routers, DHCP server doesn't work. Eventually the router slows down too and cannot make a Supout.rif file. The DHCP server is shown in the config file, ...

CCR Router Upgrades and often Fails with Reboot Loop

We have around 200 CCR routers on our network and we prefer to upgrade the Routers, however, that process comes with hesitation due to failures occurring often during the process. We never have seen this many issues until our network grew with more CCR routers (Tile version) vs mipsbe or x86 routers...

Re: Cloud Core Routers with UPS package crashing

According to Mikrotik, there is some kind of bug (I'll call it a bug, but maybe they refer to it differently): "This is a combination of a software and hardware problems. You can assume that you are plugging in and unplugging USB cable countless times per second which causes problems and since Route...

Cloud Core Routers with UPS package crashing

We have many cloud core routers on the network and we have them installed with IPV6 package and the UPS package. Each router has a Tripp Lite UPS plugged in via a micro USB cable which allows us to monitor the UPS for power outages. I'm not sure where the issue is occurring or if it's related to the...

High CPU with Parent Queues

Using the 1009 CCR and 1036 CCR routers, we're seeing very high CPU usage in processing simple queues when they use a parent. I'd like to say that I haven't seen this happen before in earlier versions of Router OS before the Bucket size was introduced, but in reading it looks like Bucket size was al...

CCR router - Queuing over 500mbps, slow cpu

We’re seeing issues with transmitting upwards of 500mbps to clients on a CCR1009 router. My uplinks have 900+mbps available, so no issue with the source of bandwidth. But if I enable Parent queues and apply the customer speed package via dhcp lease to 600mbps (for example), the max I can download is...

Re: Hotspot with Clients via Ethernet and their own Router

There are many benefits to using a hotspot and client routers, but I won't list them all. Mostly we want to have one system to manage any type of installation (wifi hotspot or ethernet hotspot). PPP is great, but adds a learning curve and extra support so I'm unsure if we'll use that. Also, if someo...

Re: Hotspot with Clients via Ethernet and their own Router

We've tested a few routers so far and some work (older Netgear, newer Asus), and some do not work since they need to detect an internet connection first (newer belkin and newer netgear). It would be a better feature if you can tie Mac addresses to User Profiles instead of the Mac Address login since you lose features and abilities. PPP should definitely be the route you want to go. Simple queues work fine, but alternatively you can use Mangle and create a queue tree based on the Mangle rules, but if you're looking for a simple solution right now, you should use PPP and Simple Queues.
