After using dude for so many years I'm moving off to a new system with support and updates....going to cost our customers $2500 AU for each site but I believe its worth it.

We plan to make a new Dude release at end of Q3, we plan to fix the known issues and introduce some new features. The Dude is alive.

I'm seeing the same thing only on 1 of our machines which has been running Dude server for approx 4 years now on Windows XP.

I have 6 other Servers running Dude without this issue on XP and Windows 7...
Mine is crashing about 4 times a day.

Would really luv to know what is casing the issue...

Great point Vaelen, as this is how another Company "Tropos" do the google maps overlay on their Tropos Control....
I just apply for the key from Google and enter that into the server .....to easy ? or not ?

About to deploy around 50 of these units over different sites, I will let everyone know the outcome.... Next side of this little project would be to have a static map running on the dude server and somehow getting it to probe each unit and update is location....anyone got any ideas on if this could ...

FYI - just a small note, if the GPS unit losses power or is unplugged the RB retains the last set of Lat/Longs its received.
Look at the time and you will notice that its not moving...
Hopefully this could be looked at in a future firmware upgrade as this can be misleading ?? Normis any thoughts??

Hey mate, it works a treat....and the 30meters is good, it wont email me thinking its moving until it is being towed away etc...

Thanks Tim, I would really love it to be able to send by email if possible. Only if it moves away from its current position. My situation is that i have a lot of repeater trailers and need to only now if they have been moved. A email alert would be much easier then I wouldn't need another server run...

Hi Tim, The format would have to be in a xml format with the extension of *.kml ,,,more info here www.earthslot.org/ipy/geassets/nsidc_how2kml4ipy.doc I've attached a kml file of mine if you wish to take a further look into it....its in xml formate but would have to be saved as *.kml from the RB if ...

Thanks normis, that is kind of what I was looking for but in Google Earth if possible.. Most of our radios are on mining sites where i have to overlay flyover images(maps) into Google Earth as the terrain changes so quickly So when a repeater trailer is moved Google Earth is much easier to see where...

A new day and a fresh start and its working, I reset router and disabled the console first.

Hi Guys, Hardware RB433 running 5.0beta4....... My main issue is I am unable to get any traffic from the garmin GPS 16x. The GPS is set to NMEA 2.30 My serial port is enabled...baud set to 4800...when i try /system gps enable it errors out with "device is busy, check port" ????????? what have i miss...
