Firmware upgrade without PoE port.

We did the firmware upgrade of a RB600 from version 3.30 to 4.11. We went back to 3.30 and upgraded again to 4.11, but now we can no longer access to the RB. The RB starts and hangs at the login screen. After a few seconds it reboot. I thought about upgrading the RB through Netinstall, however, it w...

Re: New wireless protocol: Nv2 in v5.0beta5

Currently NV2 works perfectly for me.
Even the links that were not functioning due to interference now are ok.

Is there any provision for correction of WDS?

Re: Problem. Solving 30km 11N wireless link issues.

Since yesterday I'm testing this new link, but without success. We are using cables LMR-400, 1.5 m long. This is just a PtP link. I tried to set: 5ghz, 5ghz-an, 5ghz-only; various combinations of HT-MCS; 11A data rates disabled / enabled (enabled is better); ht-txchains=0,1 ht-rxchains=0,1; ht-txcha...

Re: Problem. Solving 30km 11N wireless link issues.

I believe that just changing the data rates will not solve the problem, because even the 11A is not working properly.

Before performing the modification of antennas and cards, we had 29dbi antennas with XR5 cards and link worked perfectly, reaching 20Mbps tx and rx in 5ghz-turbo.

Problem. Solving 30km 11N wireless link issues.

Hello. We are setting a new link using 802.11N. The calculations performed prior to implantation in the link indicated that it would be completed smoothly, as you can see in the picture attached: http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/9122/enlacet.png After the installation is complete, the signal stren...

Re: RB600 missing from Routerboard.com

sorry we have not tested in such harsh environment specifically with no fan. you will have to test. in any case, ANY hardware should have some cooling mechanism at +40C :? RB600A: -20°C to +65°C RB800 -75℃ to +65℃ Considering the specifications, the temperature range for my case will be the same. A...

Re: How can I repair rb433ah?

Segue o contato: ForService Repair Center (11) 2605-23...

Re: RB600 missing from Routerboard.com

It works perfectly without fan. We tested it with a heatsink for more than 24 hours at full load. The temp was higher, but it worked no problem. So if you want, you can replace the fan with some kind of heatsing (the bigger the better). You tested the Rb800 on temperature of your country, right? He...

acredito que de -75 pra cima ja tá de bom tamanho.
tenho clientes que se conectam bem -78 ~ -76, então eu usaria o -75 como parâmetro.

Re: AP with 3 Omni Antennas

The idea is that it has 3 frequencies radiating in all directions in non-ovelapping channels, then we can have greater amount of subscribers and a choice of 3 channels to work. Will use the same SSID in all sectors; rules will be added in the "Access list" that will limit customers to conn...

Re: AP with 3 Omni Antennas

In our case, it would be interesting customers migrate sector automatically in case of interference. And in some regions there are large number of customers and in others not. If I used panels, 1 or 2 would be overcrowded and others without customers. What I can not understand is why, technically, I...

Re: AP with 3 Omni Antennas

Thanks Eric. :D The problem is we already have 50~70 clients connected to this AP, then switch to horizontal will become difficult. And I see no advantage in switching to horizontal because the interferece is also large. In addition, our CPEs do not support this function that you mentioned. CPEs are...

AP with 3 Omni Antennas

Hello We have an AP overcrowded with customers. Then came the idea of putting 3 Omni in 2.4GHz, using non-overlapping channels = 2412, 2437 and 2462MHz. In addition to overcrowding, we also have many problems with interference because the laws of RF here are not respected in my country. So the idea ...

Sorry for bad quality.
The image is too large then it will not fit on the screen when the zoom is greater than that.
Our network is not yet complete.
I will post updates as soon as possible.

Re: Dual polarization antennas or two antennas in one unit

hello marksx. we had problems in setting up links using dual-polarization antennas. tested various channels, different configurations of tx power, always getting the same result: high signal but bad quality connection when activating the second polarization. The antenna that is tested Kathrein 824 0...
