Re: 711G-5HnD port Flapping up and down when static

Thanks for the hint. 100 Mbps without autonegotiation on both sides solves for a while this issue.

711G-5HnD port Flapping up and down when static

I have a setup with two 711G-5hnd boards connected to a 450G. The 711's are powered through Mikrotik Gigabit POE's with FTP cables of about 2 meters long. Everything is grounded, even the 450G case. Yet, when the storms approaches, the two ports from 450g where the 711's are connected go down and th...

Re: What's the different the Mikrotik wds and mpls setting .

This is like Loch Ness monster ... anyone can pretend they saw it... but no one actually can prove it. :) And when they can't prove it they send you to look in the archives because "it's too big to fit in a post". If anybody has results before and after switching from WDS to MPLS: PLEASE share them ...

Re: Is TPLINK TG-3269 PCI supported in the V4.x?

Or in v5.x?
For me it doesn't seem to work. I have link on interface in Winbox, but no traffic. I managed to set forced 10 MbpsFD and worked for some seconds.

Re: RouterOS 5.6

Thanks ste. You are so right. -stable means beta in RouterOS world-

Or they could just have some employees doing heavy testing before releasing something as "stable".

Re: RouterOS 5.6

SO, for PPPoE Queues to work I had to uncheck "Use IP Firewall for PPPoE".

Other issue: Simple Queues stopped working "out of the blue". To reactivate them I had to uncheck "Use IP Firewall" - Click Apply - then recheck "Use IP Firewall" and click Apply again.

U are killing me ...

Re: RouterOS 5.6

Upgraded from 3.30 to 5.6 - a big fail, encountered 2 major problems. 1. PPPoE Queues does not seem to work anymore. How is it possible to work in 3.30 and to stop working after upgrade? 2. Clicked on Bridge to use Ip Firewall and after 10 seconds quickly disabling it caused the RB450G to lock up. I...

Re: pppoe users - peer is not responding

Re: RouterOS V3.24 release

Write to support and give them a supout output file. In the meantime consider using Queue Tree or downgrading to ROS 3.23, 3.22 etc. Then tell us what happened. Am i doing something wrong here when trying to downgrade? : I uploaded routeros-mipsbe-3.22.npk in winbox in "Files" section, then system-...

Re: RouterOS V3.24 release

Limiting interface using simple queue didn't work in 3.23. Did it work in 3.24 ?? Please state platform ;) Not that I have set that up recently but as far as I know, there are these changes in recent v.3: simple queues does not get activated unless it has some limit set. This is done to optimize CP...

PPPoE server to authenticate any username and password

Hello everyone! is it possible to achieve something like the MikroTik PPPoE server to authenticate anyone who makes a request, to be indifferent to the username/passwords? The reason i want to do this is that everyone in this particular network is using pppoe and I have to move them to a new server....
