Bump (having the same issue). OP described it well enough I don't have anything to add.

Re: Problem with auto discovery and SNMP

I also need a solution to this. Trying to auto-discover a /24 of cable modems, and I'm having the same issue. As soon as The Dude discovers 192.168.100.1 on a device, it puts all subsequent MAC addresses it finds in that device and doesn't discover any more unique devices.

Re: The Dude v4.0 beta 2 released

Thanks for adding the "Remove Resolved" button back to the outages pane. However, it doesn't work. All resolved outages remain in the list after clicking the button.

Re: bug in 3.4? - bitrate not showing

Yes, I am also having this problem. Links either show zeros or the bitrate stops updating. In the case of links displaying zeros, double-clicking the link and clicking "OK" on the Settings... screen seems to get them working again. If the bitrates stop updating, I have to go to Settings on the devic...

Re: Detail howto requested: separating traffic from a virtual AP

Is your Linux machine set up to handle VLAN tags? Tcpdump may not be displaying vlan-tagged packets, and/or your ethernet card may not support them.

These might help:

Downtime Report by device

I would like to generate some sort of report that shows devices sorted by uptime or downtime ratio. I noticed that The Dude collects (counts) downtime in [Service.TimeDown] and this can be referenced in email alerts, for example. It also counts [Service.TimeUp]. When the probe (service) is ping, the...

This doesn't seem to be an issue any more with 3.3. Thanks!

Re: dude 3.2 snmpwalk crashes

I can reproduce this same problem on Windows every time I snmpwalk a device. I'm running the client on Windows XP SP3, connecting to Dude server running on a remote Windows 2k3 Server. The client crashes at the end of every snmpwalk, unless I stop it before it finishes. Great software though, been u...
